Year started ok. I was building some models, which was therapeutic. After that i turned 30, depression came back with a vengeance and I’ve been feeling suicidal frequently.

Most this year has been spent in bed, browsing Facebook, masturbating, crying over my ex from 3 years ago, and abusing medication to feel better.

Sex life has been none existent for years due to how ugly I am. Fab is just a forum I use to distract myself.

Semi retired, then cost of living hit, but I'm sticking with it. Spent a lovely summer at a great naturist site and met lovely people. Travelled in my campervan, enjoying what life is giving me. Had a few hiccups along the way, but we won't focus on those.

It's been a good enough year.

I managed to get myself a job. I've become so much more independent after moving to a new country. I've gone out of my way to make sure my daughter has a great group of friends she can see often outside of school. I went on my first ever holiday and we have four more planned over the next 12 months including two big ones. I've lost almost three stone and I'm still in a good mindset to continue with weight loss. I've learned to be kind to myself.

I've had a few bad points. My depression hasn't been great since moving in with my partners family but that comes with bonuses too, help with childcare and a decent bit of disposable income etc. Overall it's been pretty good. I can't complain too much.

What about you OP?

I too have a child with type 1 diabetes. It took three months to diagnose. We've been living with it now for 16 years. A horrible condition to manage. Best wishes to you all.

Not all that North of North London

On the face of it fucking horrendous, bullied out of a a job I loved, a breakdown and suicide attempts not even the resilience to do the things I enjoyed.

But actually there's a lot of positives too, I found a better job, gained a huge understanding of my mental health and mental illness, learnt to like myself, realised I'm liked by a lot of people, and, well i didn't die.

I'll be glad when the year is over but I'll be proud of myself too

Secret hideaway in the pennines

It's been an eventful year, changed job roles (more money), kicked the medication into touch ready for a new start in the new year.

Fab wise more no shows than successful meets, but those that have been successful have been great.

All in all, I am in a much better place than last year

Changed job for a better work life balance, bought a house, couple of holidays. Starting to feel like the years of hard work and living in house shares have been worth it

So far my year has been good.

I finally paid off my marriage debt, it took me 10 years to pay it off.

Saved up a deposit and bought a new car with Mr NBVN.

I have been promoted and now work for a new organisation. I am loving my new job.

I had major surgery on my tummy and am now fully recovered.

On the downside my running hasn't been as productive due to a leg injury, but I have seen a chiropractor and have been supported through therapy and am now continuing with my rehabilitation exercises. It's slowly improving and strengthening.

My menopause was a bit bumpy recently but after a thorough MOT with my doctors surgery and some helpful tips from the ladies of the forum I am now in a much better place.

My kids are happy & healthy.

My relationship is bliss.

All in all a rather positive year.

NBVN x

Where has the year gone indeed... It's going by so fast

Well for me I travelled on a plane for the first time in my life.

Saw two of my oldest and most beloved friends marry each other

Lost my grandfather

Lost both of my dogs

Had my first gay experience (it was okay)

Had my first threesome (it was also okay)

I think that's about it for me...
