I once met the steeplejack steam enthusiast, builder, TV personality and public speaker, Fred Dibnah, at a traction steam rally on the Isle of Man in 1993.

A really down to earth guy for a steeplejack!

Fred Zinneman, director of many movie classics, such as my personal favourite, The Day of the Jackal from 1973.

The remake was abysmal!

The film was based on the book written by another Fred, Frederick Forsythe, who also wrote the Odessa File, another superb film.

And let's not forget the greatest Fred of all, the famous Hohenzollern king in Prussia, and then later subsequently of Prussia, Frederick the Great, who was historiographically lauded by Adolf and his dysfunctional cohort as a role model, especially as a military tactician and strategist during the Silesian wars.

Royalty should naturally by birthright top any list of Freds: the one and only Frederick the Great.

Actually, Fred the Great wasn't all that great, but the winners in most wars get to write their own story: the core tenet of historiography!

"I met Freddie from Freddie and the Dreamers, my eldest brother was the drummer with them for a while, "

Freddie Garrity, a fomer milkman, had an unusually manic style of dancing, whilst singing, but regrettably had a sad ending because of, I think, MND, motor neutron disease. I remember his television show from the mid-1960s, I thinl he was accompanied by a member of the group.

By a process called, jigsaw identification, using the information on your posting and Freddie's wikipedia page, it is possible to find out your real identity!
