OP, i can only reiterate what others have already said.

The fact he stood you up has nothing to do with how you look. In fact, he almost definitely started messaging you because you look amazing.

The reality is he almost definitely had no intention of meeting you. Just another fantasist, wasting peoples time.

Its not unique to this site either. Speaking to the girls at work on vanilla dating sites, its common there too.

Yep, I think that's the annoying bit. I mean I have no illusions that on the occasion I do decide to chat with someone that it'll probably go no further than that. I've pulled out of socials/meets myself, but always at the very minimum try to give 24hrs notice. We all have our lives away from Fab, and it's crap when someone just blows you off when you've carved out that time to meet them

I got stood up too, once. I moved to a new area in my 20s and arranged to meet someone I connected with (via a wedding site) at a local pub. She just disappeared, never arrived, didn’t answer her phone. I stood waiting for far too long. It was an awful numb feeling, going home. I’m so sorry, OP, it’s rubbish that happened to you. When I’m feeling the clubs again, I’m happy to meet you for a drink! I’ve made good friends with a few other single ladies, who went to the last one! I went on my own - I was nervous but I’m glad I did, just for the mates I’ve made, if nothing else x

I get this all the time. Just because their body is fit it doesn't mean their minds are. Weekends are the worst for "meaningful wank merchants" that need talking through their self love. It's getting easier to spot the red flags now.

However... there are tonnes of incredibly gorgeous hot gym fit young lads that do show up and know how to please a fuller figured mature woman like myself. The last meet I had from here was pure perfection. Fab unfortunately is a long game but when it pays out its well worth the wait.

He was sposed to set off at 9pm by 9.20 I was unfriended then blocked happens loads on here starting to think no point renewing. Why waste time? Just don't get it but I agree should be able to at least talk to admin with names so could look into these fake profiles and get them removed and the time wasters !

This is the best way to think about it. In fact we were stood up with less than 30min notice only this morning having already arrived at the agreed venue for a social meet that we had hoped would lead on to more. We're now feeling relieved that we didnt actually meet the guy concerned

We used to go to clubs to meet people but have been trying the social route with little success.

We've been stood up, literally been sat at the venue and had a no show, also had last minute cancellations. And then there's the people who do show up and are nothing like their pictures.

Think for some, when the fantasy starts to becomes a reality they feel overwhelmed and aren't sure it's actually what they want.

Know it's easier said than done, but try not to take it personally, but understand your frustration after spending so much time preparing

Consider it a bullet dodged, better to find out now who the "wankers" are early than afterwards & regret it.

Don't let it knock your confidence, we get stood up every other week, very frustrating but we enjoy ourselves on here too much to let it ruin it.

Although it does lead to a few days of staying off the site but we come back eager.

Don't give up but as has already been said we all have had it and a complete mystery why anyone does it ?? ....We quite proud of our record of only having to cancel twice during all the time we've been on the scene ! but doesn't seem to matter if you offer sex on a plate or just a meet/greet social type of meet and we are mainly on here now to try to top our best ever excuse we've heard ....

Happened once to me which I think is pretty good seeing as I've been on and off here for 6ish years.

At 11am we arranged a meet for 1pm. Because he didn't have constant contact from me in that 2 hours he didn't turn up (that's what he said) lol. I class it as a lucky escape.
