cheap to set up, ie no massive costs and time and effort going to the Makro's etc topping up shops, food going to waste, very long hours.

All you do is lease a shop, hire an apprentice, buy a couple of chairs etc and you are off.

Cash in hand work for the apprentices, owners etc etc

The Syrian car wash near me is great for cigarettes & watches , and you can buy lottery tickets now he was explaining to me they sell 10 for £1000 each and the winner gets a car or a Rolex worth about £7000. It’s all legit apparently

That means they must be making a fortune somewhere in order for it to be worthwhile, there must be cheaper ways or places to have those kinds of shops.

Money laundering is the answer. An easy way to clean cash as other than rent, energy costs and the initial outlay on cheap equipment you don’t have any expenses so income is essentially profit.

Mostly Labour Councils you'll find. Probably a fair bit of corruption involved given the huge money at stake.

It's completely down to money laundering. It's a new favourite, along with nail bars, cafes and restaurants. These shops are set up and some of the decor is very high standard. Barber chairs alone are very expensive. Rent and energy bills are a fortune and they charge £12-15 for a haircut? The sums don't add up. You don't have to prove how many people have come through your door and it's always cash payment. It is rife.

Welcome to modern Britain, the economic & cultural benefits of immigration.

Here in sleepy Maldon we have numerous barbers that rarely seem busy, plenty of takeaways that sadly do seem busy. A fantastic Turkish restaurant run by a lovely guy, he’s invited me to the VIP opening of his new restaurant next week. The Turks here hate the Albanians and you get the occasional flare up.
