Every met anyone with your own name? How about someone on some social platform using your favourite nom de plume before you could? Ever met a Dave Gorman?

PS, I am NOT actually Dave Gorman.

Wolverhampton

We've seen Dave Gorman. He was very funny.

I've not met them, but where I work I can see a lot of names on the database. There is a woman who lives a few miles away with my exact name. First, middle and surname. Same spellings too.

I never met anyone with my name before I was married which is odd as I had a very common surname, whereas my surname now is more unusual.

Dave Gorman (the!) lived a couple of doors down from us. He disliked the locals, and the feeling was apparently more than mutual.

I’ve got a very unusual surname (so I’ve constantly been told my entire life lol) so I’ve never found anyone currently alive with the same name as me although there’s a few in my distant family tree apparently.

Someone in my class at school had the same name as me!!

I was like WTF. And they didn't start in the school they came in like two years into high school.

My first name is common enough but last name unique enough to make it weird !

Near Abercynon

I (the mister) have a pretty common first name and pretty common surname, but I'm the one that has that combination as a gmail email address. Almost all the mail I get is for other people with the same name as me.

There are three with my name in the UK, we were Facebook friends for a while.

I was surprised as my first name is not really common and my last name is rare as hens teeth

I have exactly the same full name as a member of a very famous punk band from the 70s and 80s.

I wasn't a fan and had no idea until someone told me years later.

Alicante, Spain. (Sometimes in Wales)

I once worked in an organisation where there were three of us with the same name within ten miles of each other (two different sites).

I was going to get a formal award for something I did, but one of the others got the invitation and admitted they were actually considering going to receive it!!

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I've never met another me. Google can't find another me. The closest, first and last name, are in the US of A.

There are loads of Licketysplits' on here. I had to add the s on the end because Licketysplit was/is a couple.

Never met another me - my surname is normally spelt a different way (due to it having a religious connection) so I constantly have to spell it out as they’ll always spell it the other way

Not all that North of North London

My real name, a good friend has a friend with the same name and there's a local runner with the same name. I'm very easily confused when I see social media posts from either of them

There seems to be no one with my name, but my surname is somewhat unusual, I’ve googled and Facebook searched
