Hi all,

This is a random one but what's your preferred channel when pootling about in your vehicle? I tend to switch between Absolute 80s, 90s and Capital Dance.

I choose them as it rekindles my youth and gives me a great variety and I like to blast the dance tunes with the bass cranked up!

Just wondering if there's any other good ones to check out that aren't flooded with people waffling for ages without any music.

There’s always going to be waffle of some sort on pretty much any radio channel.

I quite like the absolutes, but I am partial to some kisstory too!

Havent listened to the radio in ages. I usually throw on spotify. The kids are gone mad on 80s music because of stranger things and its now gotten to the point where im sick to death of running up the hill

My eldest son (an almost 18yr old musician) complains whenever he hears that song. Absolutely hates it as it's been played to death the last few months! How funny lol.

Kisstory is great, and you're right there is always a lot of waffle. As others have said though, when I've had enough I turn to Spotify.

If I listened to LBC driving I fear I'd have an accident losing my temper!

Capitol here for both of us…we love the dance tunes/throw backs and the bass thumping beats when out in the car…

…which doesn’t help with keeping to the speed limit

LBC, catch up with James O’Brien or Kermode and Mayo film podcast. That’s if the journey is more than 30 minutes or so.

If a short drive, Spotify.

"6 music but I normally stream my own playlist.

I drive a VW, the head unit in the model I have is notorious for disconnecting the media side of the Bluetooth all the time and I can't be bothered to have to re-pair my device every time I get in the car. Works fine for calling though! A real pain in the arse!!

Heart 80s, smooth country or magic. I find on the absolute radio stations all 11 stations in the morning have the same djs and they just talk shit and act like immature kids.

XFM was my go to and even when it became more mainstream Radio X for a while. Now its the same as many other corperation stations.

So now either Amazon music or Planet Rock or a podcast. "That couple next door" is a good one !
