We were meant to be attending a charity gala in Milton Keynes the weekend of October 8th. The event has been postponed but we have a baby sitter and a nice hotel so don’t want to waste either.

What is there to do in MK other than count roundabouts? Genuinely want to have a fun night out. We like live music, dancing, cocktails and tend to stay out way longer than we should.

Thanks in advance.

Pink Punters is an, ermmm, interesting place....but it's the only place there is to go in MK after the pubs have shut according to my colleagues who live there. It was definitely an experience when they took me there after the Christmas do, the first time in a long time that I've stuck to a floor, but plenty of cheesy music to dance to

There are a couple of alternative/metal pubs that have regular live music if that's your taste? Crauford Arms is one, can't remember the name of the other. Both are decent

Well to start with Milton Keynes has less roundabouts now than it originally did have so you won't count too high

Theatre District up CMK has plenty of Restaurants (all types of food) pubs there don't close at the standard times of Midnight either.

We also have a Cocktail lounge near the Sainsburys in CMK (opposite side of road) here you will find plenty more places to eat or drink in, plenty of pubs here also.

Many pubs have live Music most weekends also.

Revs De Cuba (theatre district) has live Cuban music, cocktails, food, dancing etc...

We also have a Casino which can be found on the outside of the Xscape Ski Dome.

Avoid the Weatherspoons they can become unsavoury later at night with the "odd" unsavoury locals hanging around in groups outside them.

As mentioned above Pink Punters in Fenny Stratford is about 6 mins away from CMK in a taxi and here you will basically find an"anything goes" kinda club where all people are welcome, opens very late also with various types of music.

The Art Gallery is also free i believe to browse around which is next to the Theatre.

Night time crazy golf also avaliable ha ha

Plus cinema

Something for everyone can be found just need to wander around

Another for the craufurd arms.. Intimate old school music venue out the back of the pub.... They have a Web site... The stables sometimes has live music as well... Theatre district for pubs and so on... Not the best but not the worst either.

Titz Towers, North Notts

I've not been for about 3 years, but Pink Punters is a great night out.

It's a gay friendly club, but they let in some norms, too. It's massive with loads of rooms. Everyone is really friendly there

Milton Keynes

As the resident Milton Keynians have already pointed out, there is plenty to do around our great City.

Just to add though, if you wish to spread your wings further afield, there are 4 swinging/adult clubs all within 40 mins drive fro the City, albeit in different directions, you have Jaydee's, VA, Liberty Elite and Penthouse Playrooms, all very good if you ask me.

Hope you have a great weekend whatever you get up to.

There is actually a big free festival in the City Centre on Oct 8th with music and a light show. It's to celebrate MK becoming a City.

Watch the roads in the Centre though, the drivers there are bad !
