I do fine my self chucking on the full garb at the slightest excuse, especially now I’m south of the border with much less competition

Although I find kilt and (tight) rugby top, or just topless with kilt have a similar effect

"Ruddy men in skirts "

Outrageous behaviour.

Next thing they'll be wearing frilly collared blouses, knee length socks and have a handbag strapped to their waists.....

I sometimes wear a utility kilt to motorbike rallies. Handy place to put rally patches!

Ive worn them for weddings, but it's formal attire. You don't see many people wearing them day to day. And you need to have the legs and arse for it or it's like 2 straws hanging from a curtain

Kilts do nothing for me. Would rather see a man in grey joggers or sports shorts.

Finally managed to get my utility kilt sorted out. I think you need good knees to get away with one.

Is there some unwritten law that at least one person must show up at a wedding wearing a kilt?

I go weak in the knees at the site of a man in a kilt. Formalwear in general is hot, but a kilt is something else

Worn the kilt on many occasions and always "true scotsmen" style. Feels fantastic wearing a kilt.

Got married in one. It was windy. I wore a male thong (wife's choice). Like a cheese wire up your arsenal

How windy was it? Kilts are bloomin heavy items.

My mum always wanted me to embrace my Scottish heritage. I remember as a kid being dressed in kilts. The family tartan had to be specially ordered in to make them. But I don't as adult. I was born in England, I feel English. As much as I love and enjoy my Scottish heritage for me wearing a kilt just doesn't feel right. Also I'm sure in Scotland carrying your sgian dubh is respected as good reason to carry a blade by the Police but I'm not so sure about Police big English city's.

As a man born in Scotland to Scottish parents, that lost his accent. It’s always fun to get a kilt out and have people ask me if I’m Scottish

It’s such a great look and genuinely takes effort to put on.

Happy to share if anyones interested in kilt questions or seeing pics
