"Get rid of all of them I say. No time for any of them" Maybe read the room. You don't have to be a fan of the Royal family but this woman is 96 years old and has dedicated her life to service. Even if you detest what she and the Royal family stand for a little bit of decorum and respect goes a long way.

"I have to say I'm actually quite surprised how emotional I feel about this news. " My friends and I were just saying on a chat group that it’s quite strange in many ways how the death (whenever it happens) of an old lady we’ve never met will a) be a shock and b) impact people. For so many people she’s been one of life’s constant things.

"There's always been a form of panic everytime she is unwell so it might not be anything sinister. Doesn't effect my life but love and thoughts to her family of course." I would normally agree with you but the wording of this is very different. The BBC currently have live updates on the app. Words like the Queen is currently being kept comfortable, The family have been informed, Her children and grandchildren are either making their way to Balmoral or preparing to do so. I think this has been prepared for announcement very soon.

"I think she has gone n their just holding back the news. Just seen Buckingham Palace on TV n the traffic outside has stopped n there's barriers out. Do wondering if their getting things in place before announcing it as that is somewhere the public will flock to n also it will give the family time to get their heads around it before being thrown to the public." I don't think she has gone, I do think they know is imminent and once the immediate family have been informed the rest of us will know. Royal family do not normally delay these kind of announcements unless there is very good reason.

"Get rid of all of them I say. No time for any of them" Have a heart. Take away the fact that they're the Royal Family and look at it from their view. There is a Mother, Grandmother, Auntie, Great Auntie, friend to many including current and past staff, who is not good at all. They must be so concerned and full of emotion. As for our Queen, nobody can imagine how she's feeling right now. I've been there with loved ones at and near the end of their lives. It's heartbreaking.

"I think it’s really sad seeing all the news readers in black, prepared for the news. Her Majesty the Queen served her country without complaining, as an example of duty and discipline. Possibly the last national institution that hasn't fallen into disrepair, disregard or distrust. I don't think we're remotely ready for her loss. “I declare before you all that my whole life, whether it be long or short, shall be devoted to your service and the service of our great imperial family to which we all belong,” "

"There is no changing of the guard today as well. I don't remember that before not happening on any occasion." I've just Google there and it doesn't actually happen every day. The current schedules are: August - May: The Queen's Guard change on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays June - July: The Queen's Guard change daily It wouldn't have happened today anyway as it's a Thursday.

"My mate at the BBC has said the schedule has just been cancelled for the rest of the day so expect imminent news." BBC one is updating live, (currently at the gates of Balmoral) and BBC2 I believe are showing BBC one's schedule

"I don’t think there’ll be any formal announcement until all the family have gathered - is Harry still in the UK???? Don't forget the Queen was in South Africa when the news was broken about her father George VI dying." Actually at a game viewing lodge called 'Treetops' in Kenya, in East Africa, but you are right.

"I’m watching the live BBC Coverage and every so often they’re broadcasting live from the gates of Balmoral. Every time a vehicle arrives they cut to recoded segments. I guess that provides a little privacy to whoever is arriving." it looks like Camilla standing on the drive just up from the gates

" And? The idea that someone (allegedly) involved in the sex trafficking of children deserves peace and comfort is an anathema, regardless of the circumstances.

"40 years ago I swore an oath of allegiance to the Queen when I joined the army. I joined the Queen's Regiment and have always regarded the queen as the boss. It doesn't look promising for her at the moment and I for one will mourn her loss if she passes on " Indeed; 45 years ago in my case.
