Yes. There is a condition in older age where you bruise more easily maybe it's that

She’s a frail old 96 year old, I will be surprised if she reaches the grand old age her Mother reached tbf.

I think we’ll be witnessing a piece of history in the not too distant future with the Coronation of a new Monarch

I am only 82 and I bruise quite easily. In a recent fall my face made hard contact with a wood block floor, within a couple of hours my whole face was black and blue with bruises, took three weeks for them to completely disappear , my grandkids thought it to be amusing

Fully healed thank you, best of it was I did not even break my glasses.

I am sure I will have more falls, it is an age thing, not helped in my case by acute arthritis in both knees.

Yeah, I think they had a barney in the palace and Truss had the upper hand by being younger.

She's waiting to do much the same to poor people.

I wouldn't like to predict anything. Access to good medical care can keep you going a long time.

I hope her life is comfortable and pain free

I'm left with purple/red/black bruising after some blood tests and blood donation.

As we get older we bruise more.

Yes. Some medications can make you bruise more easily. She definitely doesn't look as spritely as she uses to.

North West

She's probably on blood thinners and the skin does tend to discolour with advanced age as well.

My Dad's hand look not dissimilar and he's not been jabbed in the hand recently.

I suspect she has spinal stenosis, which is the cause of her mobility issues. Her right lower leg/ankle looks pretty swollen in the picture I saw and it fits with her age etc.

They should encourage her to stop wearing those heeled shoes and go for something more supportive.

I was hopeful but the wording of the statements coming out of the palace and the way that newsreaders and reporters are already wearing black suggests this is not going to be good news.

It makes my blood boil that the BBC and other stations have already kicked in to gear assuming her passing

They are like vultures

At the end of the day she is not only our Queen but she is mother and grandmother and deserves a little respect and dignity in her final hours

A senior nurse friend of mine commented on this yesterday. She thinks that it isn't bruising but her hands are going blue.

She did mention a condition, the name of which escapes me, but is a sign of heart trouble.

I just wish they'd been her last high profile public appearances, that would be far more fitting than yesterday seeing her with Johnson and Truss.

That would be Reyauds disease but I think the bruising is more like a cannula being in situ, perhaps an IV for hydration purposes
