Discrete

Makes me laugh when couples put in their profile that they are discrete. Are they a discreet couple or are they discrete?

Even funnier when they mis-spell it in their username.

discretion Is a must

If more people learned then maybe local people would get more meets

For me I would love to meet someone that’s 5-10 minutes away would be very convenient and handy

But most can’t keep they traps shut

And I don’t need things flying around for family and friends to here

I think a lot of people genuinely don't realise that discrete and discreet mean different things. Also autocorrect is to blame in some cases.

We know what people mean though, however they spell it

"I think a lot of people genuinely don't realise that discrete and discreet mean different things."

Exactly my point. But a little ironic that being discrete is almost the opposite of being a couple.

Well, the etymology is quite interesting and both words are derived from the same Latin.

I know this because I googled it, even though I did stats and can spell lol.

I also just googled it and yes, it is quite interesting.

Aah. This old chestnut again. Often pops up on the forums. I'm sure we all realise what people mean. Regardless of their spelling.

Yeah, bit of an odd one to pull out, wait, bojo, pulling out...

Anyway, I swear he was watching gladiator thinking he is Maximus Decimus Meridius, then had to trawl his old notebooks finding an appropriate figure, dodging his youthful artistic daubings, of, ironically, tits and vag.

You knew what they meant though didn’t you op?

i sit and wonder how many people must not want to bother talking to me because of my bad spelling or use of the correct word… There’s a few seconds of my life wasted thinking about that.

Funny you should mention about locals blabbing about your private life. Now and again I get blocked for no apparent reason by people in the immediate vicinity. So me being my usual self, I get my Sherlock Holmes hat on, and through contacts and connections, make it my business, to find out who they are, only to discover that they we actually know one another from the outside world. This includes neighbours and clients. You want to see their faces when I bump into them in the street, and ask the question, "Oh bye the way, why did you block me on Fab when we've never even messaged, or attempted to contact one another?" Somebody obviously had to tell them who I am in the first place, and they didn't want me knowing about their private lives. They'd have done better ignoring me if I'd tried to contact them, and then they would have remained the enigmatic people of mystery, but obviously couldn't see that far ahead in the game.

Haha amazing stuff.

I stalk people and then challenge them in real life because they deserve it, as I'm the games-master.

My dude, please, reflect and rethink.

Some people, probably more than you realise, are dyslexic, and yet here you are laughing at those who may get the wrong spelling. Even with autocorrect it may not be spelled right.

Just stick to what you know and leave others be.

There is a need for discretion here...more than once I've had creepy conversations with what purport to be single guys..who want to chat about what I get up to ....as soon as the with who question arises I fend them off ..never revealing names and they either get fed up and stop messaging or I end up blocking them....I've no idea how many times people on my veris get contacted by guys claiming to know me
