"Cue all the “don’t worry they only say they like fat women because they’re desperate for a shag” type posts. And not forgetting all the “hot pics is full of slim women, that proves that fat women are an afterthought” type posts. Because honestly, all sizes get slagged off on Fab if you look for it - there is no happy medium (no pun intended!)" Totally agree.

Like I said , it serves as a filter. I sure know who to avoid.

"Not a day goes by on here that I don’t see comments body shaming slim women. Whether it’s being referred too as a stick insect or a bag of bones or that we are all skin and bones. And it’s truly sad that only occasionally do people even call them out on their comments. And can we ditch the term ‘real women’ for describing larger body sizes too, I’m a real woman too actually! You don’t need to put another body type down to express a preference! " It's been going on for years on fab, i do call it out when I see it and have even reported it in some circumstances

"I really don’t understand why anyone feels the need to comment negatively regarding another persons body. If someone isn’t to your preference then pass on by. If their body isn’t to you liking and you’re judging them on that alone, then why hang around to comment. " I mean yeah, you're absolutely right, and it'd be wonderful if we all did. But we mostly don't, and unfortunately some people derive their self esteem through the reduction of others. Moreover, I think it's when the sycophantic enter the fray, begging for scraps and attention, feeding those what they crave. That in itself can lead to the nasty comparisons of the "real" etc.

"It happens to all shapes and sizes on here. There are slimmer and larger women who call out people putting others down. Remember though the words used in your OP trigger you so you remember them more than the insults directed towards larger women. It's the same thing just different packaging unfortunately. It's a part of life not one demographic has it easier than the other " I agree. I’ve been here forever and I definitely don’t see derogatory comments about slim women every day.

There are folks who have been around here a while, and frequent the forums, that continue to trip over themselves to compliment a group while throwing the others under the bus. Besides, maybe folks who are new should take some time to observe trends before jumping in two feet first to participate in a thread that: a) has been done to death before b) gets them soundly chastised for using phrasing that they (a full grown adult) should have the tact to word better Intent vs impact and all that.

But equally that's not a get-out-of-jail-free card or permission for posters to be assholes about their likes or dislikes, those don't exist... even on your fake fab birthday Like others have said, follow whoever floats your boat and sail past the rest. "Slim men get it too. We get a few PMs that are critical or rude about Mr KCs slim-ness. I'm a fatty. We very much would just like everyone to be nice about other people's bodies Exactly, it’s not that difficult! Ahhh but you see, the posturing is how they get attention. If they don’t loudly express their admiration for one group, at the expense of others, they’ll never stand out No not always. I don’t agree with that. I think a lot use these words unintentionally. I’ll Never forget a man said “real woman” once and he got piled on! He was quite new, he was so upset he left. And he’d apologised on the thread. He couldn’t have been a ‘real man’ " I don't like that "real man" term either

"Welcome to the world of the internet male. If we're not being compared to to Henry Caville/Tom Hardy/Current lead male in this months popular box set, we're judged on height, hair colour, lack of hair, too much body hair, cock too short or too thin, being too 'Alpha male' not being 'Alpha male' enough, being called a fat old man, dirty old man, being arrogant/cocky...or not confident enough and if we hold the wrong opinion for that particular day/group we fall in to the category of not being 'a real man' or just looked at as irrelevant and ignored - which you can't get upset about because you're supposed to Man Up!- although if i suggested that the OP should do the same, or Woman Up, i've little doubt the reaction would be decidedly different than if it was the other way round " Dude step away from the internet/societal Koolaid. That stuff is pure poison. Easy for me to say as a Maverick but the more fucks you give about what other irrelevant people think about you, the less time you spend actually looking after yourself and being your own personal cheerleader. It's better if we focus on what we like and can control about ourselves for our own mental health. You are enough for yourself!

"Having been on both sides of the spectrum during my time on Fab, (going from size 6 to 16) I think you’re overreacting, OP. People are allowed to express a preference. If there are threads where being a BBW is celebrated, why do you take it personally? There are people of all shapes and sizes here and preferences are so varied. Just because someone expresses a preference of a body type you’re not, just scroll on. " Definitely have to scroll on many times on the internet...many times I just disengage and go play Farmville. For my own sanity. I've been desired by men for being a size 6 and being a size 20. I'm not really into a lot of parameters for men. I've been attracted to all physically different kinds of men. I care more if you are a decent, stable and secure person. I understand if people have been abused and bullying for their appearance. I was in primary school. Once I got to secondary school I realised, you just have to find your tribe of people and lovers who accept you as you are.

Yeah I don't get. There's some pretty shitty comments made. One can express their like for one body type, cock, pussy, colour, height without needing to express dislike of anything else. Seems to have got a lot worse lately too. We had people slagging off educated folks and intelligent folks recently... I mean wtf! " Oh I've had that before! I went on a date and a man told me I was middle class with a sneer. I said what on earth do you mean? He said well you are not proper working class like me and you probably wouldn't normally date someone like me.......I spent most of my time growing up with my Dad and he got on with the highest and the lowest in the land and showed them all respect. I don't tell people now about my educational background off the bat anymore....I'm an island girl..I don't care if I'm sitting on the beach with a rasta man who left school at 12 or some Oxford professor world expert in their field....we are all half naked and wet and sandy and looking like a drowned rat....Lol! Swimwuits are a great leveller...as well as nakedness...

I've had people message me with all sorts of comments from porky to this is fab swingers not fat swingers etc. So we are very much body shamed. I personally dont go into the slimmer women appreciation threads as ive no doubt the same happens there and what I dont know cant hurt me." Hugs..I've been "thin" and "fat". So I've had both bouts of insecurity and feeling um..unwanted....but at the same time I've been desired at both sizes so people trying to make anyone inferior are talking shite.

But if you choose to revel in the adoration of the fabbers who's preferences you match, and take compliments based solely on the physical, surely you have to be thick skinned enough and prepared for not matching others'. But equally that's not a get-out-of-jail-free card or permission for posters to be assholes about their likes or dislikes, those don't exist... even on your fake fab birthday Like others have said, follow whoever floats your boat and sail past the rest. Is it just men? I’ll need to inform some of the women I’ve seen and know that make those comments about their gender change then You do that" That’s exactly what I mean. Was a nice thread, then the usual turn it into a thinly veiled man bash. Whatever gets you lot off

And if it was the other way around there would already be 175 posts here going mad.

In my experience as a woman, they come from (some) men. If you see that as man bashing - up to you. On the flip side, many guys here are very complimentary womens' bodies of every shape and size. Although - you're not.

"Body shaming, kink shaming, hobby shaming, opinion shaming. All human life is here. I don’t think think skinny women get it worse than many other demographics (ask a fat woman), but it stands to reason that a process of confirmation bias will mean slim people see the comments that hurt them, more than the comments that hurt gay people or trans people or fat people or people into cuckolding etc etc etc. which is fair and correct of course, but I bet there’s not a profile on here that hasn’t seen some targeting of part of their appearance or identity. I live life on the easiest difficulty setting, straight white affluent educated male, and I’ve been shamed for having a dad bod, not being hench, not having a mainly hairy chest, having a dimple once! Haters gonna hate, best anyone can do is not throw it back and keep the wheel turning" Also call it out when you see it. Some people don’t even realise how a compliment aimed at someone can offended someone else Especially with this kinda comment I try not to assign malice where stupidity is enough

" Just the women to be kind? Tbf the comments I see about "real women" and stick insects are from men. Every time. " No, everyone can be kind, it doesn't take much... and yep, the stick insect and boney are often men but I've seen a lot of women say that they are real women because of their curves. Point taken though, everyone should be kinder xx

"Well then it's been called out surely we shouldn't all just jump on someone for saying the wrong word if it's been called out and the person has apologised there's no need for any of this. " I didn't read this as the OP jumping on someone. It was referring to an incident without naming anyone and expressing a general irritation. Til the message gets through, there's absolutely a need for it when body shaming of all size types happens so often. For a group of people living an alternative lifestyle, we really should be less openly judgmental and prejudiced, whatever our personal preferences. There's just no need to say some things is there?

"Not a day goes by on here that I don’t see comments body shaming slim women. Whether it’s being referred too as a stick insect or a bag of bones or that we are all skin and bones. And it’s truly sad that only occasionally do people even call them out on their comments. And can we ditch the term ‘real women’ for describing larger body sizes too, I’m a real woman too actually! You don’t need to put another body type down to express a preference! " I see people get called out for this all the time
