Aside from mental health issues, the deepest is probably Dan y Ogof cave system and the darkest was a tour of Honister slate mine where they turned off all the lights then lit a candle to show what the mining conditions were like in times past.

I'd love to visit. I didn't realise it was so deep. How deep do you get to go on the tour?

Mines is probably the Caves of Drach in Porto Cristo. They dim all the lights and have a classical concert in the middle of the tour & then a little boat ride across the lake.

I've been down Wookey Hole practising cave rescues. I think it goes down about 300', and I remember some very tight squeezes..

I run around there where all the road collapsed always queues so never been in but had a wander down devils arse a while back. It’s free, less touristy, there’s an honesty box at the bar park. It’s very dark and scary when you turn your torch off

Not all that North of North London

Either Wooky Hole or Ingleborough Caves (which may not be called thst), no idea which would be deeper but they're the only substantial caves I've ever been in!
