Pushy Mother in Laws

When Tom ended his short sabbatical one private message said that some fabbers were literally dancing in the street at his return.

But what of the tabloid story that Victoria Beckham is miffed because her new daughter in law did not want Victoria designing her wedding dress?

Tom's question. What has annoyed fabbers about their new in-laws ?

Is this a sneaky attempt to catch all the fan singles out?

Bonus of having no partner, no in laws.

Though my exes were pretty quiet, though been 6ft under does that to you.

Also, fabbers lie.

My ex mother in law was outstanding, it was the father in law that was the problem!!!

"Only me" springs to mind

It would take more than 175 posts to tell you everything the mother-in-law has done to piss me off.

"It would take more than 175 posts to tell you everything the mother-in-law has done to piss me off."

Would summing it up as “existing” do the job?

I like the way you think. I was originally going to write…

I wish my mother-in-law was more like my father-in-law… nonexistent.

Never married so no real experience. GFs have had parents obviously, but I was not tied to their offspring so trod carefully.

It is the "in law" part when it goes shit shaped I hear.

Jim is living proof that an untouched thread is impossible.

My Mother in law was an incredible lady but we did clash when the boys were small....She used to drive me insane by talking in baby babble to them and when he got older she would correct them in how they held their cutlery.....Ugh! Just no! Stop!

But she idolised my boys and was always kind to me, like I say she was incredible in every other way

Thats because they know you can walk away.

Once you've been captured, they begin to build a cage of criticism and control.

Usually finished it by your anniversary

Not all that North of North London

I dated someone a few years ago who's mother told her entire family I was physical and emotionally abusive. My thexpartner losing her shot at this was offered up as further evidence that I had brainwashed her against her own mother. When no one believed her she did the obvious thing and reported me to the police

And she is almost broke up with her husband when he refused to believe her crazy lies and repeatedly supported my then partner.

All the others have been ace

I always got on very well with my in laws, until we split up, and now the mil doesn't like me

I stay in contact with my previous partners parents, they consider me as part of the family and I love them dearly.

My ex mother in law was wonderful, it was my ex that was the issue. My son actually lived with her during his time at uni, she’s a really sweet woman!
