Tell me your greatest accomplishment. Hopefully your answers will inspire me.

Not my greatest but I only tell a few special people about that one.

But I ran a Ultra marathon recently for a charity that helps bereavement into child suicide. You be never ran that distance. Add to that my knees are already knackered Im lucky I finished it. More surprised I did it in a good time.

(Knees are completely knackered now though)

I helped start a school football team and coached it where they once didn’t have one. I’d have probably put that on a application if I got asked your question.

Getting sober and quitting substances that can't be mentioned on the forums

Not dying this year

Not sure I'd put either of those on a job application so in that case and would go for my marathon finishes instead!

If I was asked the same thing at an interview, I'd say "That's a very subjective question. What is a great accomplishment to one person isn't necessarily for another.

For example, I think my greatest accomplishment was making some toast for a guest that stayed with me once. When he received said toast, he punched the air and uttered several cries of "Oh man, that's awesome."

My perspective was that the toast was quite banal and ordinary yet to this chap it was comparable to the second coming of Jesus.

It did make me wonder if I had somehow underappreciated my skill at making toast, and this gentlemen, a true connoisseur of carbonised bread products had witnessed a marvel so sublime that my toast-making capabilities were sui generis.

So whilst I have accomplished many things in my life, as I am sure we all have to lesser or greater degrees, I'll have to put down my toast-making as perhaps the most significant endeavour I have ever attempted. If truth be told, I wasn't even really trying."

I would have said my children but now i'd say one of my children as the other has chosen to cause so much trauma, pain, hurt, fear, stress that i no longer see them

I'm so sorry to hear that. Often families drift apart but hopefully old wounds will heal and repair over time. I do hope things work out for you though

"Not my greatest but I only tell a few special people about that one.

But I ran a Ultra marathon recently for a charity that helps bereavement into child suicide. You be never ran that distance. Add to that my knees are already knackered Im lucky I finished it. More surprised I did it in a good time.

(Knees are completely knackered now though)

That is some achievement!! And what a great cause……. Take a bow mate

Eurgh. Don't encourage him. The results are published and they say he retired after 3.5 hours. He knows how to spin a yarn does 'Tom'.

And he came 8th I believe… on the published results

His name isn't Tom. "

Ooft. …. Mine isn’t Woody

Wirral

Went from not being able to run a bath to doing a 10km (without stopping) during the 1st lockdown.

Started off doing Couchto5K and over time I slowly progressed to going just that little bit further and then this one day (with the sun out and a fantastic breeze) I just kept going and did my 1st (and only) 10k.

I have hardly ran since but am still very very pleased with that achievement.

Thank you everyone. You're an inspirational lot.

I think my biggest accomplishments are completing an ultra marathon and training for another one next week and being a completing my Masters degree.

My 3 beautiful, health children, that I brought up mainly on my own.

It was very challenging at times but they are now well rounded independent adults.

The obvious, kids etc.

The frivolous, an eagle on a 396 yrd par 4 (which I still talk about boringly often to anyone who’ll listen)

The achievement, setting up and running a business with no financial backing or external input which is 10 years old this year and employs people both in the uk and India

Outside of parenting I’d probably say graduating given my experience at uni, mental health struggles and having to take a leave of absence.

I cried a lot when I got my results.

Never say never, I got in touch with my mother earlier this year and we'd had zero contact for almost 15 years.

Norfuck! / Lincolnshire

I’d say there is your answer

That's a very subjective question. What is a great accomplishment to one person isn't necessarily for another.

I have peed over The Great Wall of China!

My wife peed over The Great Pyramid, but I disallowed it because the seat belt sign was lit.

We both peed over The Alps.
