Chelmsford

Some fools are sullying the name of a famous archeologist and claiming he stole items from a site in Egypt..

The palace of king Tutkanem who discovered buried under a pyramid site on the Nile and clearly the builders did not know what lurked underneath.. Solid gold and after a century some researchers are throwing mud at the diggers..

What has a fabber ever sold that they are proud of or ashamed of.. ?

The pyramids were not built by s l a v s. That has long been proven wrong in fact they were built-in large by well looked after skilled labourers.

The Victorians sent archaeologists to Egypt at the request of the Cairo government to excavate some areas of interest. The English discovered gold treasure underneath one of the pyramids. No only knows if the treasure was buried underground then a pyramid was accidently built on top of if was secreted in the pyramid. One thing is certain.. the archaeological types of the day just used shovels and spades and much evidence was lost.. a pair of gold earrings could easily have fallen into an Englishman's boot.. not stolen but accidently brought back to Kent

Pyramids of Giza were roughly construction between 2550 to 2490 B.C. That means the pyramids of Giza, was built almost 1,500 years earlier, Then Ramses II. The Jews were ens l a v e d in Egypt a good three hundred years after completion of the pyramids.

never been happy with ramesses II being ascribed as the pharoah in the tale. it doesn't match with the eruption of thera, modern santorini, which was the cause of most of the fabled plagues of egypt. the 12th dynasty ends with sobekneferu around 1802bc, which effectively ends the pyramid age with the start of the 2nd intermediate period. there is little evidence for the jews one way or the other. quite good postulated evidence for mr technicolour dreamcoat being present in egyptian royal circles though.

yes, as i said above. hence if thera theoretically went boom 1620bc or so it can't possibly be tied to ramesses II who was 1300 - 1215 or so bc. even other authors timelime for thera of 1500bc doesn't match. the latter would attest amenhotep I or thutmose I of dynasty 18. the earlier and more likely would entail the 2nd intermediate period, with the hyksos 15th dynasty ruling from avaris in the north and 16th dynasty ruling from abydos ruling concurrently. therefore you'd need a pharaoh dating roughly 1620bc from on of those dynasties. 17th dynasty also in the south (thebes) may be a little late.
