Least favourite road

Ok all you fellow motorists/commuters/holidaymakers! Out of all the roads you travel/have travelled, which is your least favourite and why?

Mine? The M25, because no matter what time of day you try to drive round it, there’s always an accident or a holdup somewhere.

And runner up while I’ve got my moaning face on, the A303 at Stonehenge, god that road is a pain in the hoop!

I don't think I care enough about driving to have a least favourite road. It's just a bit if tarmac that gets me where I want to be

The road to work

I don’t like the A666 to Bolton, especially the bit where you come off the M60 and have to change lanes heading towards Bolton.

Couldn`t agree more.

My favourite road though - M6 Toll (my obsession with it is a little disconcerting actually)

Roads should be publicly owned.

Completely with you on both aspects, but need to add the A23 heading from Jnc7 of the M25 right into London... what a pigs ear of an 'A' road!!!

The A13. Too many traffic jams caused by too many people trying to get in and out of London.

The A66 from Scotch Corner into Cumbria (or vice versa)-- the most boring road in the UK!

The A13 from London into Essex is bad too but that's more annoying than boring.

It's like the A1 but four times as good.

It's the A1111.

A9. It would be a beautiful road with stunning scenery but it's ruined by idiots speeding and trying to overtake and inevitably crashing and closing the road for hours on end.

Burnleyish (She/They)

The Leeds inner city loop

Which isn't a loop, doesn't have great signposting and when you're trying to find somewhere on it in a HGV is the worst thing ever.

But currently the M6. But I'm sure when we hit the M25 in an hour I'll remember what a hellscape it is.

Not having lived in (or driven to) London in years has for sure madee forget the trauma.

Once I leave dual carriageways and motorways when I go to Skegness , those winding roads and countless little villages with speed cameras do my head in

They're replacing the concrete barriers in the middle, but they were only installed when they did the smart motorway in 2018/19? Why does it need doing again so soon??
