Some people can make the word please sound like fuck off!

I've learnt that people who are mean to me have very sad lives and like to cause trouble for others to give themselves something to do, then play the victim when you treat them the way they treat you.

That some times it’s better to just walk away and not engage.

On the flip side, sometimes people can speak hard truths whilst being really mean and that despite the delivery it can be worth digesting what was said and contemplating.

That the truth will out.

They play victim while painting you as the villain when it’s actually the other way around .

They always get found out by their actions tho .

That extremely mean people are usually damaged, envious and bitter individuals.

And they're also someone else's problem. I don’t need to be the bigger person just cause they're damaged.

I guess that depends on perception. And text only comms can have a huge impact on that

Oh I wasn't even considering someone I'd only communicated via text. They know fuck all so would disregard any meaness as tosh!

It's not something I've encountered since school to be honest and I didn't learn anything from it. Instead I became a shrinking violet thinking anyone who would be winding me up for banter genuinely disliked me whereas I just learned to give it back. Over time, it's made me more confident but it definitely doesn't define my personality

I've known some very cruel people throughout my life... some of the things I've been through make me ache when I think about them. It's gut-wrenching actually to think about how awful some people are.

But, every person who has hurt me has genuinely made me into a better person and taught me a very valuable lesson about never ever becoming anything like them.
