Existential Crisis

I had a bad run this morning and whilst running, my legs hurt so much that my brain very clearly thought, "I don't even like running!" Which is weird because I always thought I did like running. My life revolves around going for a run. Now I'm sitting here eating my cheerios wondering if I like running and if I don't like running, who am I?

Anyone else have random existential crises?

Mayfair

Try "Nestlé Curiously Cinnamon" cereal. I find ruminating and pondering easier with a little Cinnamon inside me.

Maybe you don't even like Cheerios but running is preoccupying your thoughts.

Oh god. Don't. I've built my whole identity around running and eating cheerios and now I'm so confused. What if that's not who I am? What if I've been lying to myself?

Try cycling and Golden Grahams*

The grass isn't always greener.

*Not at the same time. Baby steps and all that.

I have a crisis Every morning. I wake up and wonder ‘who am I really?’ ….

After switching on my phone Apple helps remind me with ‘good morning Woody! as a welcome message. Good old Apple I say.

I've just had a nap and I feel much better. I'm going to have an easy few days now. Already looking forward to my next run.

Under the Duvet

Just an observation but I've never ever seen a runner who looks like they are enjoying themselves or having fun.

I'm sure the sense of achievement/improved fitness is great but I'm yet to see a smiling runner.

Do they exist?

Joining the club. They do tend to pass quite quickly though.

Not crises as such but I regularly experience momentary existential dislocation where I question the meaninglessness of my work, society, and its values.

Existential angst is basically my default setting.

I've got loads of pics of me grinning as I run. The endorphin high is mega. I've also got loads of pics of me looking like I'm about to die or throw up whilst running.

Try paddle boarding or other non wee related water sports. Great in this weather and mixes it up a bit. Also quite a strong social side and you can perve on the fit guys with no tops on

I'm smiling in my profile pic! To be honest I've loads of pictures of me smiling and showboating for cameras but suspect I don't look cheerful on a normal run!
