"Yes, which is why I don't bother. Diets and excercise need to be a lifestyle change else they will never stick. I've found other things I do that have become natural to me. The main thing was having water near me all the time, so I drink more of that and less cola. And portion control with food.l, so smaller portions, no more second helpings or clearing off my kids plates and trying to get more healthy things on that plate. No actual diet. No calorie counting. Easy! But it's helped. " As I'm not on a diet, I also don't get the depressed feeling when you break it and feel you've failed (which then makes it even harder to get back on it).

"I'm like a yoyo on it off it .. especially being a foodie" Its entirely possible to be a foodie without going to excess. Try going for better quality foods with higher satiety rather than volume.

"Love gym and eating clean it’s way of life staying fit and healthy so not hard at all to stay on track xx " This. Its being consistent enough for long enough that it becomes a habit, then a way of life. Consistency is the most overlooked term with food/fitness. Everyone wants instant results/shortcuts/secret hacks. There aren't any.
