Probably not as big as 2012 but I like to see what people create.

It's a beautifully combined games with para sport in the same programme.

If there's a super Saturday this weekend, the pressure for the football on Sunday will be off the scale.

Hopefully bbc have got coverage of most of it and they've got better studio than they did for the world's which was terrible.

Never usually watch sports, so won't be watching any of this either.

I do find it odd when you see people that usually have absolutely no interest, but just because it's the Olympics or Commonwealth Games, they rush out and get tickets to see... anything. Just because.

I've read up on the Bull now, and I like it even more.

10m high, pulled by women chain-makers. The chain-makers went on strike for better conditions in 1910 and achieved a minimum wage that doubled their earnings. The collapsed bull symbolises that victory.

A is for Antigua and

B is for Barbuda

C is for Canada

D is for Djibouti (not in the Commonwealth but can't think of a D)

E is for England

F is for Fiji

G is for Grenada

H is for Heck, I'm stuck

I is for India or Isle of Man

J is for Jamaica (they have a bobsleigh team!)

K is for Kenya

L is for Lesotho

M is for Mauritius

N is for Nauru

O is for Oh heck!

P is for Papua New Guinea

Q is for (the) Queen

R is for Rwanda

S is for St Kitts and Nevis

T is for Tonga

U is for Uganda

V is for Vanuatu

W is for Wales

X is for X ray

Z is for Zambia

Now we know our ABCs

:

And I'm not on the list. "

I could have had D for Dominica, I realise in the cold light of day.

I tried, Lickety. I really tried

Probably not as big as 2012 but I like to see what people create.

2012 was magical. I liked the forum that night.

and don't forget Trevor Nelson being quietly removed as a presenter, due to his ability to know fuck all about any sport or anything to do with the olympics- yet being unable to keep his mouth shut long enough to stop some inane nonsense leak out- how his career survived that multi car pile up i have no idea?

I'm not sure there's a downside to being stuck to an Aussie swimmer

I watched that night with my late wife. Have the dvd’s of opening and closing ceremonies. Also managed to have tickets to go and see. Sadly tickets booked were for the O2 . Not in Olympic village. Saw semi’s of mens basketball. Then went back into London and realised we could get into Hyde Park for free. The atmosphere in there incredible. We saw Nicola Adams win her gold medal . Yes as UK team. But funny to see the four Uk flags flying near us . But all cheering her on.

The oldest ever gold medallist is 75. I think that the range of things in the Commonwealth Games makes it so inclusive.

It's England vs Germany again tonight. Netball this time.

I was a bit underwhelmed by the closing ceremony, to be honest. Though hearing Boom Shack-a-lack for the first time in years was good

Closing ceremonies are never as eventful as the opening. But ending with Ozzy and fireworks was nice.
