Burnleyish (She/They)

A few of them:

Please make them happy, they weren't right for me but they deserve to be happy. (in fact I've said just that to the fiance of an ex)

One:

Run like hell, they are an abuser.

Another:

Why did you take him back? He cheated on you 3 times.

He was a pathological liar, literally couldn't tell the truth about anything and addicted to gambling. I would say don't get involved but if you do, protect your money, put nothing in joint names and do not bale him out financially. Double check everything he says and if he offers evidence double check that too.

I would warn them about his forgetfulness and tell them not to take it to heart. It's because of his ADHD and it doesn't mean he doesn't love you when he forgets. He criticises himself for it for far longer than you'll even remember the incident.

Wouldn't waste my breath saying anything as they don't believe you anyway and you're made out to be the insane ex so they can crack on and find out for themselves

.

I'd say to remind him you care about him. Frequently. Be gentle with him when he's not in a good place. Of course there'll be bad days but there are good as well. Cherish those. Don't lose who you are while you're there for him.

I fled my marriage in 2011, just after my ex started threatening to kill me..I think the woman he hooked up with after me deserved a medal to be honest, as by that time he'd been diagnosed with MND and she looked after him til he passed away in 2018

So which 1 would I have advised to keep the phyco bitch in a cage ??

And In all honesty I wouldn’t of give any of them any advice

No one warned me

So let them make the same mistake they will come out the other side stronger and a better judge of character
