It has hit 38.2 here in Burland, Cheshire, however, our back garden is south facing, so it may not be a true reading, and we've been loading the factor 50 onto our bodies and have been sat in the shade all day

We only moved oop ere four yrs ago from darn sarf, first summer I was ripping out a loft workshop in a less than fetching 1970s style with carpet etc and old insulation so full overalls and mask etc and it hit 30 on one day the 33 the next..

Had to put the ferrets in t'shower to keep cool..
