Chelmsford

The French are up to their old tricks. A couple who were out camping were attacked by a wild boar and had to climb a tree to escape from the bugger. They managed to call for rescue from a mobile phone but the police arrived. They chased off the wild boar but then fined the campers for camping illegally. Apparently it's against the law to camp illegally in France. Whats going on here guys ...

It was all over the news yesterday about wild campers in the UK, spoiling designated ancient monument sites.. unfortunately they can't be caught because there is no way of policing the areas .. so good on the French

You know, having revolutions, chopping the heads off royalty, fineing wild campers.

I'm pretty sure the wild camping bit is one of the main points in the Code Napoleon, especially if the campers are "Le English".

Yes wild camping is illegal in France. Plenty of campsites, rest stops provided. Some even free.

There is also a little known law that any parked car has to be moved every few days or it can be treated as abandoned.

There are (were) 131 known of in Braintree, and 36 I believe in Tendring.

I can agree that they can be aggressive, but a lot of wildlife can be when threatened.

Are you advocating the extinction of all wildlife??
