X Factor - What A Con!!

I've just watched the last episode of X Factor that I'll ever watch!

Up until now Siren & I had enjoyed watching the X Factor and we always tried to guess who would go through and who would go home and we've enjoyed having a banter about it but tonight was the last straw for me. I've said all along that the twins shouldn't have even made it through the first round of auditions yet tonight Simon 'forget-the-past-and-judge-them-purely-on-their-performance-tonight' Wanker Cowell showed his true colours and didn't send the twins back into obscurity when he had a golden opportunity to do so!

Why!!

2 reasons:

1) to protect his own acts later on in the competition

2) to ensure the programme - HIS PROGRAMME - continued to enjoy the high ratings that it currently has.

Oh he of little faith. He feels that the programme NEEDS to talentless twats so he sent a bloody great singer back to Wales in tears. What a two faced cunt!

The X Factor lost a fan tonight. I'll never watch it again.

well i thought that, then i thought if he did vote for the twins, everybody would have had a go at him cos he always said he didnt like em, think he might have been in a no win situation. cos all the shows so far have gone to deadlock, if he voted the twins off i think ppl would say he wanted em off anyway all along maybe

I watched last night with family and altho my sis has not seen most bieng in the ozzy, she thought the "twins" were awful.

The fact that they have now yet again stayed in proves to me its fixed bigtime.

I wont cry if i never see this programme ever again.

its interesting to see how everyone is seeing this...

2 weeks ago... miss frank vs daryl in the final vote... Cheryl was the one copped out and let it go to the public vote... no one complained then....

last week.... rachel vs lloyd in the final vote... simon actually said rachel was the better singer and yet let it go to the final vote... no one complained then...

this week.... same as last week... an everyone is up in arms....

I am not saying I like jedward... but the fact still remains that Lucie got the least votes........

if the vote had gone the other way would we be having this discussion....

in the end, maybe the moral of the story is the vote vote and vote...... no act is safe....

right... if you need me i'll be hiding in the scots room... lol

They are talentless and have no place in the show.

and if they win this.? it will prove just what a fix it really is.

and why im glad i dont really watch it unless im not in my own home

what we have seen over the last 3 weeks is consistancy.. in that fact that the judge who had the deciding vote have chickened out of "dropping the hammer"

just out of interest.. did any of you actually vote for lucie.. or did you just assume that she would be safe....

knew i shoulda entered it and sung ...the mother in law song its a head game now between the judges think simon knew like said it protected his acts a cpl of weeks agon dan said he voted for them 5 times every vote counts by the papers we have seen twinmania think mr coward er cowell knew the public would save them tbh and when asked danny couldnt give a answer before the result the way the public votes tbh hope all them that votes for them get there cd for a xmas prezzie and yes judges have been consistant in passing the buck on performance alone in the sing off how did loyd stop in howay joe lad

i dont really watch x factor, but my kids do so i get hear all about it, then i read in the papers other day that the show was all fixed and the reason Simon went on about how much he dis liked the twins was because they was set to win the show and by telling the public how much he hated them the idea was everyone would vote to keep them in anyway i did catch the end of tonights show and bugger me the one and only chance Simon had to get rid of this annoying pair hes supposed to hate so much......and did he take it? did he bugger lol so from now on id say save your money and dont vote cause they've already decided whos winning

I didn't think she was strong either...

My point is more about Simon banging the big drum all along how they shouldn't be in the show.. from day 1!! Then.. he gets the chance and nooooo so.. says more than it doesn't.

Woohoo ! Yay for Jedward .... A great brand already and they havent won and cant sing. Mr Cowell is very clever and the boys are great fun (yes I know they cant sing as well as others but neither could the cheeky girls all those yrs ago)

Can't see why people should be up in arms if the blonde lad, Lloyd?, went.

We thought he'd be out long ago.

O.K,he's a cute kid I suppose,so that gets the teenies votes but in real life he has a weak voice and seems to struggle with whatever song he's given.

As for the twins they're so obviously Louis relatives,just look at them.

Lucie sang that last song really well and deserved to get through on merit.

Simon had his chance and blew it,we've lost respect for him after that.

How much better would it have been if he'd have fixed Louis with an evil grin,rubbed his hands together and done us all a favour?

Lets face it - no matter which way Simon turned last night, he'd have been in the wrong.

If he'd kicked Louis' act out of the contest, it would have looked like sour grapes after all he said about the twins in previous shows, and if he'd booted the Welsh lass, he'd have suffered equal ridicule.

If I had been in Simon's position I'd have done the same thing. Call it a cop out, call it whatever you choose to call it, but I think he did it the fairest way possible, but even he was suprised at the outcome. I really think he expected the public to do his 'dirty work' thus leaving him with a clean bill of health but unfortunately for him it backfired.

The twins won't win, but then again, I don't think the Welsh lass had the potential to win either. Granted she was a better singer than the twins will ever be, but - the public voted and 'the best act' won the day.

Maybe it's time that the right for the judges to vote was removed altogether and only public votes counted.

Or maybe it's just time for the X Factor to gracefull retire because every year there seems to be more and more internal politics taking over what at first was a reasonably esasy going show
