First of all, it is scientifically proven that pineapple belongs on pizza. There is nothing better than a little bit of sweetness to cut through a salty snack like pizza. Pineapple adds a much needed pop of sweet to the flavor profile.

Secondly, pineapple has many health benefits. Pineapple is a tremendous source of Vitamin C, potassium, and fiber. These vitamins and minerals help with blood pressure, digestion, and overall health. You can't hate on topping pizza with something that actually is good for your health.

Finally, let's face it. We all love chowing down on a piece (or a lot of pieces) of pizza, but we regret that decision a few hours later. Don't forget, though, pineapple is a fruit, just like tomatoes. Therefore, adding pineapples to tomato sauce is almost like having a little "healthy" fruit snack.

Considering the other kinds of shite I've seen people shovel in their mouths and down their throats, pineapple on pizza is one of the least things that should be controversial.

Not my favourite combo bit ok. For me a nice traditional margheritta is best. Always start with that anyway and if you like then add whatever you fancy. I usually look on the fridge and if not too offensive, I stick it on. Things like olives, peppers, anchovies, mushrooms, artichokes, capers etc. and lots of cheese. Not keen on meaty ones but some prosciutto, italian sausage, ham, bacon its ok.

The only thing that belongs on any pizza…..is meat, with more meat, and an extra sprinkling of meat. Maybe a second type of cheese too if I’m feeling adventurous.

I can understand that some people like it, some don’t, and some are in between.

What I don’t understand is why those who don’t like it care so strongly about it. I mean, I don’t like anchovies, so I don’t order them, but it doesn’t bother me in the slightest if someone else likes them.

Have you been forced to eat pineapple pizza? If not, why do you care so much if others like it?

You can have pizza without tomato sauce. Pizza express did a lovely pizza bianca with bechemal sauce instead of tomato.

pineapple all the way, my favourite!

Had a snooty waiter at pizza express who refused to admit it was a pizza topping.

Also had an Italian friend who was outraged at the thought of pineapple on pizza and made a point of taking me to an authentic Italian pizzeria to prove his point, when he arrived they had a massive tub of pineapple for toppings haha.

I don’t understand why anti-pineapplers get so worked up about it. If they don’t want it, don’t order it, but why get so excited and agitated if someone else wants it?

Have the admit, I have a massive urge to punch people who stir an Irish coffee, ruining the appearance of the drink and undoing the cold/hot contrast that too experience when drinking it. But that’s different.
