If it works, it’s good enough. Especially for the over 40s. Be lovely to be more buffed, but it’s just a bit of vanity, and I don’t care enough to put in the work. Absolutely not going to blob out tho under the excuse of ‘dadbods are cool’

Both but it does depend where my self confidence is at the time.

Sometimes I can feel intimidated by gym bods and think they are out if my league.

And sometimes I don’t feel that and I feel really confident in myself and accept someone with a beautifully toned physique could be attracted to me.

I don't really care too much how my body looks. However...

I want to be able to hold down a girl, no matter how hard she wriggles. I want to be able to bend down, put one arm round her shoulders and the other arm under her knees, and scoop her up (lifting from the knees, naturally).

I want enough mobility to scoot around on a bed or anywhere else without falling on my partner or putting my back out.I want enough cardio stamina to keep going for a while.

So I want to keep my body reasonably well exercised, because the more dad bod I get, the less I can do of all those things.
