AC/DC's High way to hell has always been my choice for a funeral song.

I had that at my late partner's Thanksgiving Service that I arranged.

I too would like that to be played at my own funeral. The line about regrets sums me up pretty accurately

At my 20 year old nephew's funeral they played Greenday's 'Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)'

At my dad's a few months later, it was 'Time to say Goodbye'

And at mine, I think I'd like Enya's 'May it be' as a message to those I'd leave behind.

May it be an evening star

Shines down upon you

May it be when darkness falls

Your heart will be true

You walk a lonely road

Oh, how far you are from home

Mornie utúlië (darkness has come)

Believe and you will find your way

Mornie alantië (darkness has fallen)

A promise lives within you now

May it be shadows call

Will fly away

May it be your journey on

To light the day

When the night is overcome

You may rise to find the sun

Mornie utúlië (darkness has come)

Believe and you will find your way

Mornie alantië (darkness has fallen)

A promise lives within you now

A promise lives within you now

Sugar x

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else

For burials:

I hear you knocking

We gotta get out of this place

Going underground

down down (deeper and down)

For cremations:

Hot in the city

Hot boxin'

I'm on fire

A world of my own

Have been to a cremation where 'Smoke gets in your eyes' was played at the end

I love Forever Autumn but want something amusing at mine, like 'Always Look On the Bright Side of life..'

My daughter says it should be 'Red Red Wine'

Westlife - 'Wind Beneath My Wings' is also very popular, as is Angles - Robbie Williams and Time To Say Goodbye, one that gets me crying evertime is Fields of Gold, even when its not played at a funeral, this also seems to be a very popular choice at the moment.
