how to arrange a social meet/ party?

I would like to arrange a social, what should i do to get the ball rolling? i'm a virgin at this!!!!!

find a venue who are open to the kind of things that might take place on the evening, advertize well in advance, work out a rough head alloctaion and invite 10/20 more than you think you can handle

Oo do tell, I thought a social was for meeting, drinking, chatting and maybe a bit of dancing!!

To the OP... just find a big pub in a local town (with a free function room would be good), decide on a date, see if there is a DJ amongst your local crowd of swingers (there's always someone with a bit of kit and an aspiration to be the next Smashy or Nicey lol) or pick a pub with a resident DJ, or a good sound system and selection of tunes, tell everyone in your chatroom to spread the word and send names to you on the forums, charge a pound a person to cover costs and see who turns up. First one might be a bit quiet, but they tend to gather pace after word gets out, the Cardiff one will be limited to 200 people, and I can guarantee all those places will be taken and its all down to one pair of nutters who are the life and souls of the night out!!

Can you not try holding a small party at your home.

Most attending know or should know not to cause bother and are discrete.

3 CPLS say and 2 sgl fellas and 2 sgl fems.

Bring there own booze and stick some nibbles on.

Its much better if you KNOW half of them though as if they are all strangers it makes it rather awkward all round.

Well hold a social kind of thing at a nice pub but thats all it will be.

I used to go to a social near to chams then go onto chams after.

Maybe you could do something similar.

Near a club etc
