ghosting is when a person disappears off the radar when dating or real life friends i cant see how it applies to swinging tho ?? unless youve met that person several times ..ghosting is not someone going off the boil after a few messages .. thats my take anyway and according to google

well id say thats not what it is as you dont really know the person as you never meet ghosting someone is someone you know in person not someone youve never met ... when some one on here stops talking to you its not ghosting unless youve already met them several times ie you know them in the flesh ..on here people think theyve been ghost just because someone stops talking or got board and thats not ghosting

You are correct but people widely use it to mean online chat becoming unresponsive.

For the second meaning...personally I'd rather get ghosted than be having "zombie" conversations. Some convos die a natural death!

I will agree with this. I think people read more into a few messages and a vague plan to meet up and get offended when it stops. I understand ghosting more as having met lots, a regular committed thing and then vanishing without a word.
