Are you easily offended?

Are you a sensitive person that takes every derogatory comment about you - or what you think is about you to heart?

Do you feel the need to be offended for others?

Is it easier to believe the negative than the positive?

Depends who's said what and my mood too.

I can be extremely sensitive but I can also be zero fucks given and find things laughable.

I generally don't like to upset or offend people, and I do worry at times that I may have done unintentionally and that bothers me. There are times though, and yeah, I'll be honest, I DO say things that I hope will sting but that's only if there is personal history there. I make no bones about shit like that.

I wouldn't say I get offended for other people as such, but if I see something shitty I've no problem in pointing it out. Not always in a scalding way, but an explaining *how* something could be offensive way. Some people just can't see it until it's pointed out and then it's all "ohhhhh bollocks, I didn't think"

Not at all - there are very few people in the world whose opinions actually matter to me, I couldn't give a flying monkey what anyone else thinks about me, therefore their opinion could never offend me.

I was the shy, quiet kid at school who didn't fit (the weirdo). No bullying as such but constant needling and being picked on.

Didn't help that my voice seemed to take an age to break whereas all the other boys seemed to have it overnight.

There are times I have taken offence, but they have been very direct, very personal insults or attacks. I have however been known to counter attack with quite the venom and if they are not crying when I'm done male or female I've not finished.

I'm not however offended by comedy, that I may or may not find funny or others opinions. I just move on.

and I grew up in the early 70's, an art student and being beaten up an awful lot for being gay, I developed a teflon coating of not listening to the insults hurled at me when I came home to a small Scottish town to see my family.

Over the years, there is nothing anyone could say that would upset me. I won't give them that power.

There and to the left a bit

Depends who it is, someone I care about then I'll listen and sometimes cogitate on it if it's been a difficult thing to take on board.

Random people on an internet site not at all - I offer opinions, stand by them and am prepared to have them challenged and may take it on board if I think it's valid, but I'm certainly not going to let it get me down, especially when it's playground level.

As for being offended on behalf of others, again it depends but if I am it'll be because I have good reason to be, not just for the sake of it - I'll also try and consider both sides of a story rather than taking someones opinion at face value as part of that.

I don't take offence on my own behalf. Those I love will be trying to be helpful the best way they know how, they won't have set out to wound. Those I don't love don't matter to me enough to offend me.

I do get offended more on behalf of other people. I hate when people are excluded or othered, when their opinions or beliefs are belittled to score points. I will always stand up if I see someone being bullied. It has led me into some hugely awkward situations but I can't bring myself to ignore it.

Pretty much the same for me. I dance to my own tune and have my own path so what online strangers say or do is not something that even bothers me the slightest. I don't get why people get so wound up and offended over minor things.

Offended, no or at least it is very difficult to offended me.

I will however speak up if I don't agree or if I think something said or done was uncalled for.

I think very few people actually are offended when they say they are. Especially in the case of minor things.

hiding from cock pics.

Online, I'm a lot less likely to be offended as I don't feel the person really can know me, or would necessarily would say the same thing if they saw me in person.

If it's a friend who says something, I will try not to take things the wrong way but I'm a lot more likely to get offended. It's only people close to me that opinion matters and can offend me (I think).

At least for more than 5 minutes anyway.
