Hi.

It's so frustrating with the amount of fake profiles on here and time wasters.

Is there know way of cancelling peoples accounts if there not verifed after a month or so of being on here.

Plus cancelling there account it they don't have pictures that are verified.

Cus there some many timewasters and fakes on here.

People have account years ago and know new verifications makes you beleive the males is only perving and there not swinging anymore.

Many should...

have to upload a verifed pictures after 14days of opening the account.

Have a meet verification within 6mths

Every year have a new picture verifed

Both party's of the couple if no recent meets.

If you don't do these 3 things you account is shut down.

Granted I know it's a nightmare signing up because you're immediately on the desperate male radar for miles around and probably swamped; but, I also get the feeling that many accounts and just males setting up accounts as women for some sort or weird kick.

If these things bother you, you can set your filters so that un-verified , or without public pics can't message you. You can search based on the same criteria.

That way no need for frustration

I'm as genuine as they come but it took me a while to get verified, by these rules I'd have been gone too. Even now as a single male I'm finding it hard to get meets but it would be a shame to lose genuine people due to the struggle to get verified. I've even had a couple of meets where the couple won't do the veri thing cos they don't wanna show how many meets they have

why not true 'either' ? OP said throw people off if they aren't meet verified within 3 months. If you have been on a year but only just meet verified, then you would have been thrown off under that rule.

The 'either' was surplus, my mistake.

A) I haven't just been meet verified. The verification you can see is the only one you can see. Not 'the only one.'

B) I was photo verified immediately

Where I differ from OP is that as long G as people are photo verified or meet verified then I dont have a problem.

I dont have a major problem with people not being either but I would prefer a time limit whereby someone had to become photo verified after a time. Maybe not immediately in case it puts off people who are unsure.

The OP's suggestion would actually cause more of a problem than it would solve.

New joiners take a while to check the place out and decide whether to stay or not.

By forcing newbies to verify within a set time would mean more and more profiles would be short-lived and not affect the overall number of genuine members.

I understand the frustration on one level, balancing the requirement for people to find their feet against allowing fakes free run is tricky.

However, Fab does give us the filters to screen out un-verified people or new profiles. Just use these to best suit what you want

Similar to my answer on the 'single guys' thread.

Why throw unverified people off after a month or even two?

At that rate fab would only be for couples or single females and many of those would go too.

I was reasonably or very lucky but it took me three or four months to be verified. For some it takes much longer and I wasn't a complete newbie having experience from other sites and even the good old po box!

I think there is a similar answer to both threads....concentrate on yourselves and what you are looking for. If unverified people bother you, filter them out and let them get on with what they want to do. Which for many is to get their first verification!

This is wrong. As a single man over 50 it's almost impossible to get someone to speak never mind verify...

I do think though that if a member cannot be photo verified by the site then they should have no access other than brouse and be removed after one week.

There is no way to actually confirm that the person on a pic is the person using the profile - so pic-veries are worse than useless - they give a false sense of security.

I for one would never go through the pic-verify procedure - because I prefer to control who gets to see my pics.

What about the single guys who can't get a verification ? Also some people don't like putting up their verifications from others and keep them either hidden or don't put them on their profiles.

Agree about the number of fake profiles but after a time you get the feeling who is real... Cant accommodate/cant travel 1st warning sign can only meet day times next warning... no face pictures to exchange ...list is endless

We are not verified. We have loads of meets through clubs.

Verifications mean nothing. You can still be let down with someone with multiple verifications.

This has been covered so many times before. Use the filters and good old common sense.

We have been on here for years and have lots of verification on here.

We normally go to a club at least once a month so get new verifications as we did this weekend.

Least this proves your real and not just a picture taken off the internet.

I think people should be able to use the site as they want to. If some part of it doesn't work for you then use filters to block out those people.

By your rules i would have been chucked of the site before i got a veri and i have it easy here as a fem !

Some members seem to be obsessed with fakes , verifications , and time wasters .

I much prefer to concentrate on my own profile .

Use of common senses avoids the problems referred to.

The picture verify by the admin is a simple process and only you and admin can see the picture unless you opt to share it.

This is wrong. As a single man over 50 it's almost impossible to get someone to speak never mind verify...

we've had 3 profiles on here over the years. we've never been photo verified and never will be. we don't see any value in it and never even check to see if the people we meet are either because it's worthless. as to being photo verified every year...verified as what and by who? if the mods don't know you, how exactly are they supposed to verify you're who you say you are and how much are you prepared to pay for this service? as to forcing people to be meet verified within a certain time frame...what would you suggest they do if they haven't found anyone they want to meet by the time their time is up?

we use lots of filters and common sense and have had virtually no issues with time wasters or fakes...

If you find it "frustrating," then use the filters provided by the site to make your experience happier.

There is no need to impose stringent conditions to make it more difficult for others.

Some people use the site differently to you. For example, it is not uncommon for folk to be here just to use the forums or chatrooms.

I would never suggest that if someone does not make a forum post every 3 months that they have their account deleted.

I can't really see the problem. You can set your filters as others have said to stop messages from newbies, non verified and profiles with no pics. The best thing is to use your gut instinct, works very well for me and I've never really had an issue with fakes, they can do their thing and don't bother me.

Why not prevent all new members from posting , messaging, having pictures on their profiles, and ban them from meeting anyone in fab, indeed exclude them from the site altogether until they have got a meet verification?

That would work really well.

And I should have added, of course, that anyone whose last verification is more than 3 months old, should likewise be banned from meeting or participating in the site until they have a new meet verification.

Whatever you do on here, you cannot please everyone. Too many veris, not enough veris, old veris, not photo verified, don't display veris blah blah blah. How about just running your profile exactly how you want, let others do exactly the same and ignore the ones that are of no interest to you for whatever reason.

I agree we should all be able to do exactly as we like on here, and others can use their filters, but wanted to point out for those that don'tnow, you can get photo verified without showing your face.

If people don't like the way the site is, they can always leave and try another one

Well said . I have yet to encounter any problems with either fakes or time wasters . I do however spend time reading profiles and only contact those if I satisfy their selection criteria .

How can they get meet verified within 6 months if you think they should have their account deleted after 1 month

For someone like me that is a single parent with limited childcare options my average meet is every six months, up to last year I only used the site for the forums because I was pregnant/breast feeding and didn't meet for 18months by your rules I'd be gone.

So no I don't agree on any level. I've never encountered a time waster yet because I use a rare thing called common sense, remember if it seems too good to be true it often is.

I also know how to use these wonderful site tools called message filters, they're really great because if I don't want unverified users contacting me I can stop them from doing so how great is that hey

Personally it took us quite a while to become verified by meet. Purely because we took a long time to arrange our first meet.

That being said,we were photo verified within a few days of joining and there is no excuse these days for not being photo verified.

So we agree with some of this, people should become photo verified as it would cut down on the less credible profiles.

Photo verification isn't full proof in fact I've witnessed a guy fake it as a single gem first hand

I spoken with verified people who were fakes! So I am not sure if that would help! Also regarding the pictures they steal peoples pictures! They psychopath people! All the best x

Don't think that's a good idea OP.

Not everyome gets verified within a month.

Usually takes time, especially for single males like myself.

By that rule, I would've been deleted a long time ago, amd I'm as genuine as they come.

You might want to check out your filters instead.

Is there know way of cancelling peoples accounts if there not verifed after a month or so of being on here.

Plus cancelling there account it they don't have pictures that are verified.

Have a meet verification within 6mths

Every year have a new picture verifed

Both party's of the couple if no recent meets.

If you don't do these 3 things you account is shut down.

We've been on the site since it started, have over 300 verifications - most of which you can't see but have never and will never be photo verified. Under your rules our account would be deleted.

Mr gets to meet more than I do yet i am still very much around but travel with my work so am often out of the country.

Is that yours or the sites business.... No

If you don't like the site, go find a different one

Or blocking everyone and doing their own searches.

I think firstly we need to remember this is a free site and some people just use it to perv and for free porn .or a sexual release . Look at pictures etc or social ..

It doesn't state that you have to actually use it to meet !! And you can't force people to or give out their ad entity , Thiugh I think all new accounts have to be photo verified but that doesn't mean the person is genuine and not a fake.

Also time on site isn't a guarantee they are a fake

Majority of guys that attend my events have no verifications because they can't get meets because they don't have a verification. And been on here months some over a year and they pop in and out of relationships so use when single .

I was in this world 3 years ion another site before my first verify .. I couldn't get a meet and used chat rooms and started to go to socials .It's actually very scared and daunting for some .

I also know a handful of females on here that have several accounts of different generics with uploaded pictures that they verify between themselves and then they hide those Veris -

These are fake profiles yet run writhing your wishes. Humans are by nature not reliable and in this world a majority will waste your time . It's a horney fantasy for many.

I don't do random meets and get let down all time from people I know for all sorts of things. Male female and couples. . Nature of this world and online sites..

So moral here is. Use your gut instinct and remember it isn't often what you think that's the problem.. Don't sweat the small stuff and enjoy those moments . More people you know the more you'll realise everyone in same boat x

I don't really know what the answer is but I think something has to be done. I met my hubby via this site (thank you!) a few years ago when it was fantastic. We had a couple profile afterwards for about 3 years but deleted it a couple of months ago due to the site having gone so downhill from a "meetings" perspective.

I am now trying life as a "single" fem on here - and it's still very poor compared to a few years back. Have no idea what happened - this used to be the best site on Earth!

We knew about a dozen quality, reliable couples on here. All have left and not returned (still in touch by phone with them).

maybe try the system used on some moddeling sites ?

everybody has a calender on there profile when they arrange a meet both parties book it on the calender (only they can see who are meeting )every body else just sees a busy tag .both sides have to cancel or it leaves a flag against both . if somebody no shows a box can be ticked and thats all . if meet goes ahead both parties can leave a positive verification . would flag up persistant flakes and no shows to admin for them to deal with acordingley

I don't understand why the site is seen as somehow responsible for overseeing alleged adults arranging to meet? they give you the means to contact apparently compatible people who may have the same interests and there, as far as we're concerned, their involvement ends...

I think the general gist is that something needs to be improved. It's got to the point that, for whatever reason, people are spending hours and hours on here looking for a meet - and it's pretty much a waste of time.

Perhaps people now see it more as a chat site? That is certainly what it has become - and fine, if that's what the majority want it to be - in fact, the vast majority based on the evidence.

There's nothing to be " improved" apart from people's behaviours . Which you can't change.

If people are spending " hours and hours" on here trying to get meets, then they;

Are probably never going to get many meets anyway; so they aren't appealing to others.

Need to get out more in the real world .

If your sex life relies on coming here to arrange all your fucking, you won't be doing much.

I've been on here for five years. I wasn't on it for a year due to family issues. Under the OPs suggestion I would have lost my profile as I wouldn't have received a verification in a year.

Also as I tend to play with people I already know I don't always have new verifications.

Although I can see where the OP is coming from people don't use the site for long periods for many reasons - illness, in a relationship, etc.

It's a bit harsh to tar everyone with the same brush. Many on here enjoy the banter and will never meet but are great to chat to. You'd penalise those that for whatever reason just want the benefits of chatting without meeting. They may be housebound, lack confidence, have a disability, etc

Not everyone with unverified accounts are fake.

I can understand the frustrations of unverifed users.

However lets look from a few points of view.

If someone is serious about getting verified it takes 30 seconds to take a photo veri pic....or get to a club and meet people! Simples.

If you meet unverified people then at some point....more often than not they get tgeir time wasted and post on here about it.

Can the admins do anything? I dont know personally how the system works after a fake profile is reported. But it might work on a "3 strike" system...3 reports from diffrent people and gone....but then it leaves people open for bullying.

Not everyone will go to a club themselves. I organise a pub quiz for fabbers and even then some don't come over to say hello, they stay at the bar.
