Most the false accounts I spot seem to have faces, they've just used another person's image.

I've never put my face on here and never will. We haven't bothered with verifications for about ten years.

Just set your profile to allow photo verified members only plus search that way too.

There's a filter for just that.

No need to force people to do something unnecessary. We've never bothered and it's not caused us any problems.

No one should be forced to put face pics up to be veried unless they want to. And it will make zero difference anyhow as photo veris including face pics can be faked.

Use your filters to stop people who are unveried contacting you and problem solved or block all and look for those who are veried.

Either way there will always be fakes on here learn to spot them and avoid them is the best way I've found.

When I set up this current account, the site wouldn't allow me to progress to setting up my bio etc until I had photo verified, so it looks like it's being phased in for some user groups.

A verification photo for admin, should be a must to join, it's your ID card to use the site.

It seems to be random but it could be an algorithm that triggers it.

I had that too, let me set up and use the site for a short time then it wouldn't till I photo verified.

Based on the opinion of the majority of people I've chatted to here in the last 6 years the answer would be a hell no.

I don't have facepics on here not even in private and I know many people who don't.

It's mystifying why so many people think face verification is foolproof when they're so easy to fake.

We had to photo verify to use the forums but didn't have to face verify. We used the full body option with no faces.
