Fake profiles and 1 minute wonders

I cannot abide fake profiles and especially profiles that come on then are gone straight away...something more should be done by admin...possibly ban the ip address, these people are bloody annoying

I've known a few (female) friends/colleagues who have joined at my behest, only to delete their profiles after a few hours or days because they were inundated with filth, crass and unimaginative messages.

They're not always fakes.

You need to be doing serious profile trawling of new accounts to even notice this. Much less have it as a problem you need to vent about…

My suggestion? Live and let live, filter to block newbies, have a cuppa.

The profiles that come and go very quickly I would say are, in the main, NOT 'fake'. Rather they had a quick look round and decided here simply wasn't for them.

The 'fakes' though LOVE being on here, they stick around forever.

IP addresses for most people especially mobile devices are not static so that wouldn’t help

Or get bombarded with messages and leave as a result

I've never been convinced highlighting new profiles is conducive to new profiles and women in particular staying on the site

I know of at least on couple on here that join everyday because they ask for paid meets. They get reported and they either leave or get ban. But they know how the site works so they now create a profile for a few hours to get interest then delete it

Just block newbies and then you won’t be annoyed
