Age Filters Broken

Age Filters should include a couple if EITHER match the filters. Currently if a couple is 39 and 51 and someone has filters set to 50, it excludes the couple even if it's only the 39 year old that physically plays.

I assume this is on the back of your other thread complaining about no replies.. Age filters are there for a reason, and rightly so, irrespective if you 'play' or not..

So my partner who is the only one that has physical contact with others has to be excluded from searches because of my age?

Indeed you did… still rather deceptive…. Making people have to read into your profile to learn that they don’t want to meet you anyway.

If bry is 51, weather he plays, just makes sandwiches or whatever…. If he is there… people have the right to not want to meet you both _ased purely on their rages preferences. and they certainly have the right not to be deceived into clicking through to your profile.

I've just quickly done a search for couples in our area. Our lower age range is something like 42. The search seemed to go by the oldest age on the profile. It returned results for couples where the younger member was 28 and 34 and the older member within our age range.

The thing is, Bry isn't always there. I play alone too. So people don't even ever have to meet him. I'm 11 years off 50. So I find it a bit upsetting that people won't want to meet me, because Bry is 51.

Maybe create yourself a single profile for when you play alone, everything is up-front then

I find it hard enough to monitor our couples profile. I suffer with a lot of fatigue and other issues due to after effects of chemotherapy. So Bry does the 'Fabmin' and I check in when I can. I thought that a couples profile would be ok as I'm a Hot wife and it shows I'm not cheating on Bry.

I've had couples contact me where the woman was mid 20's and the man mid to late 40's or older and I refuse to even chat to them.

I don't meet anyone within 10 years of my kids ages. I don't engage directly with anyone in the forums below my age filters because of previous issues so it doesn't matter to me whether one half of the couple plays or not.

If you are outside my set filters there will be no chat and no meet end of.

My understanding is that the query only searches on the first person’s age. So for example

Example A: No1 is 20 and No2 is 21, if you search for between 21 and 21, example A will not return.

Example B: No1 is 21 and No2 is 20, if you search for between 21 and 21, example B will return.

So my recommendation would be to put yourself down as the first person, to omit the issue with bry.

It does mean on the flip side, that unless the search range hits Bry’s age it will not return you guys as a couple. So your age may be detrimental to couples searching an older profile.

If that’s not an issue, then this will sort it. Otherwise, might be worth putting in the ideas forum an enhancement request for the search to include both ages from couples profiles, and not just the one.

Or alternatively, what many females in couples are starting to do is create a second single female profile with your criteria.

Always a solution to a problem.

It would be an interesting option but realistically time is better served concentrating on the profiles where to do match the criteria set out.

Just as you have limits I’m sure, so do those you’re contacting.
