"I have applied twice and twice I have received a email twice saying it’s not good news over subscribed with single guys.Whilst I was disappointed I accepted the decision as it’s their right to accept and reject or they want and I have moved on.I have seen the various forums about Le Boudior regarding been rejected for various reasons but at the end of the day it’s there right who they accept or reject but there is no need for rudeness as has been mentioned in previous forums." I didn’t read anyone being rude above. Just discussing what they think is the entry requirements of the club.

Sorry I wasn’t too clear on the rudeness part.On a previous forum a couple stated they asked for feedback as to why their full membership had been rejected as they had been to the club before apparently. They were told it was because the lady was considered ugly and the man too fat. After various exchanges of emails and the forums it seemed like the couple may have used pictures of when they were younger.

The thought of sending in an application, attaching a picture and waiting to see if I ‘make the cut’ makes me shudder... I’d personally find the process embarrassing whether I was accepted or not. Doesn’t make the club come across as a friendly open minded place to be. That been said tho we all do it on here daily. Send the first message or dreaded wink and wait to see if we’re that person/couples cup of tea and that doesn’t bother me one bit.

"Just to fan the flames... I like, and it is why I go there, that Le Boudoir has more of a selection policy than clubs who just admit anyone. I have never found them, rude, elitist or pretentious. They simply insist on people being presentable. Who doesn't like people to be clean, in shape and attractive? No one ever reached out to a user on fab and said, hey, you look dreadful but fancy meeting up? The club is simply a higher calibre than any other in the UK (indeed more so than many I have visited in other countries, and I have been to plenty on my travels) and the people who go to Le Boudoir, are well, generally looking after themselves better and are smarter than other places. Outside of the handful of usual suspects who always write negatively about anything and everything on these threads(and I am sure will now attack me... haters will always hate) the real truth about Le Boudoir is the overwhelmingly the positive reviews the club gets from people who have actually been to it. If you applied and were not successful, instead of moaning, why not take a look at yourself and ask, can I do better? Just my two penneth worth. Merry Christmas " Very much this, lets face facts. Swinging is primarily about casual encounters. Not deep, lifelong commitments where you share the joys and cope with the trials of life. It’s sexual attraction, lust. That is somewhat superficial, if you want to try the best club going then apply. If you don’t make it, move on. Any guy on here will know that sending a message to a couple or woman will almost certainly be turned down. Anyone looking at the forum understands tha LB selects, don’t read that then whine if you are not successful.

Being attractive is more than just how your look on the outside. I have no issue with a club deciding who should be admitted. I do however have issues with people who think they are better then others when they are clearly not.

Merry Christmas " I find you post quite patronising as you are clearly in with the in crowd , to tell people who have been refused to take a look at them selves ? Why as they obviously don't fit the clubs criteria. Yes you are right that some people could put a bit more effort in when attending any club but that does not seem to be the issue with becoming a member of this one as they vetted purely on a picture ? But as a business if if works for them then that's good.

"I'd be knackered then too old or ugly for their requirements. Have no interest in attending an elitist establishment. There's already enough of that around in politics and vanilla life. The thing that I love about swinging is it's inclusiveness and that most clubs are open to anyone with all shapes, sizes and gender's usually it's the one place people can truly be themselves. There's someone for everyone. As soon as they start vetting guest's it takes away the element of surprise. If you go somewhere where you know everyone is going to be super hot the thrill of the chase is eliminated!" Amen. The whole mindset of the establishment just doesn’t sound like fun. Swinging is superficial but at its best it’s inclusive and liberating. Worrying about whether you’re up to the beauty standard on a liberated night out just doesn’t sound like the basis for a good time to me. Do I have to fuck sedately so I don’t smear my make-up? No full on fucking in case I mess up my outfit...By definition liberation and exclusivity don’t mix..

Went once - host were lovely no complaints there - some of the guest were not so nice though. Rude and obnoxious, made it very clear we were not their type. Now I get that could be at any club but it left a sour taste, we haven't been back but are thinking about giving it another go - not fair to sully it on one night. We will have to reapply though.

My way of doing better is by steering clear of such places. Seriously. I'm a cyclist. We have such issues in cycling. There are cycling clubs who are invitation only, with weird rules about what kit you must wear, what bikes you must ride and how long your socks must be. There are clubs which are for socialists only. And there are other clubs where the only rule is 'don't be a dick'. Guess which I belong to? Swinging is no different. However, if you choose to belong to one of the clubs where sock length matters, where it's invitation only and you're expelled if you can't afford the annual Majorca 'training camp' don't be surprised if other people who have other priorities think you're a bit weird, or poke fun, or critique the 'can't you do any better' snobbery.... Seriously, this isn't a personal dig, it's just an invitation to reflect on the message you send.

As I stated earlier I have twice got the oversubscribed email which I can fully understand and respect and from what I understand it’s not just guys that have received the oversubscribed email but couples and single ladies I have met at socials and other events.Because of its location and the fact the tube line runs threw the night on a Saturday a lot of people like myself consider it perfect with regards to opening times , location and off course the lots of fabulous club reviews on Fabs it’s no wonder people are applying.

"So basically, only skinny girls allowed. That's funny because I get a good whack of guys and girls of all shapes and sizes messaging me and approaching me because they love BBWs" No, that isn't the case. Like I said in my previous post, there were a variety of shapes and sizes when I use to go. There are certain event nights that may attract a "good-looking" crowd, once went there with my ex (who's first time it was at LB) and he felt like he was walking into a dream but that's purely down to the people attending because they know so and so is going, etc. Mostly it's just ordinary people like any night you would attend a cocktail bar or central London night club.

" If you applied and were not successful, instead of moaning, why not take a look at yourself and ask, can I do better? " Oh how stuck up are you? I'm sure it's easy enough to meet some superficial criteria when you're 26 and female. Try again when you're 56 and see if you still get admitted. You can try to "do better" but you can't turn back the clock. We also had the "sorry" message when we applied to go there. We won't be asking a second time. There are plenty other clubs who do appreciate our custom.

Sorry just looked at your pics.... You weren't their type? Well what the hell is their type then? I can just see a stunning young couple? What am I missing? Thank you for the compliment. I would stress that a) this has been the only club we have had that in. All the others have been more than welcoming. B) we have only been once and could have just been a bad night - they happen. We will go back at some point to be certain though. " One of the reasons we have not gone back is because at the time Mrs felt she was the biggest lady in the building and some of the people that went were less than complimentary. We have reapplied (after our membership had lapsed) and been accepted so will probably go in the near future, hoping for a vastly different night.

"Hello Juat wondeting if anyone else out there has received the infamous " sorry, it's not good news" from Le Boudoir. Or who has been successful? I'm simply curious, to know. No judgements needed. They have their criteria and that's groovy. We applied a few years ago. Initially turned down, then accepted after they invited us to an event. Merry Christmas Good answer, we’re the same x"

I find it mildly amusing that any club that upholds social standards these days and BTW, LB seems to be one of the few clubs in the UK that is thriving, always busy, sold out for NYE, moving to a new premises next year, are accused of elitism and snobbery by a handful of dissenters. That is a just a Corbynist perspective! Everyone is not created equal, and swinging is not totally inclusive. Hyperbole from anyone that feels making no effort at all is acceptable. "What confuses and frankly galls me is that people get so defensive and entitled when they're told there not attractive enough to pass the bar of a private club yet they will say things on their profiles to exclude, for instance, others based on their race. Surely Le Boudoir management are entitled to allow only the sexy people in according to their 'preferences'?" Its a good observation! no one likes to be excluded but everyone has preferences that lead to exclusion...

A few other reasons why it’s sold out. It’s a good club with lots of fabulous reviews , lots of members , it’s in a location which is easy to get to via the underground which will probably be running through the night. As has been stated earlier take a look at yourself and ask can I do better is a fair comment as is you can try to do better but you can’t turn back the clock. As I stated earlier I have applied twice and been rejected twice I didn’t ask for feedback I could have said it’s because I am old , a little overweight , foreign , not attractive enough instead I accept Le Boudior decision that they are oversubscribed with single guys and I have moved on.

Is ok the club having his own rules but sincerely in my opinion theres no need for segregation these days . Most clubs they have every day an event or an theme for the day , to make sure nobody is left out . I been atending clubs in my area and always i found people well look after and i can see to them hygiene is also very important . Of course theres clubs where only elite people are allowed to in but is a diferent story ... i would believe in this club Bondoir the same criteria of selection of their members or costumers will not aply if is the case to be someone famous

" We can't sully a club based on one visit. It may have just not been our night and as others have said everyone is entitled to preference. With regard to LBs entrance criteria it's actually pretty sensible (even from someone who has been rejected before). One of the many problems we have found at other clubs is that whilst they allow all sorts most people have a type. LB caters for a type. Take us for example. Mrs isn't attracted to black men. So we don't go to parties that cater for women that do. It makes zero sense to go somewhere that you know won't have anyone there for you. Now if we go back to LB and have a similar response to the last time then we chalk it up to we are not what that crowd is after. Mrs is gorgeous hand has spent the last year really working on herself (for herself I might add). But one of the main reasons for going back to LB is that the dungeon is such a nice space and we haven't really had the chance to use it.

" When you go to clubs you know you will find number or diferent people no matter if is body type, race, color , gender or sexuality . Also i presume we all know in clubs nobody is forced to do anything against their wishes. No means no ,is also a rule . The fact somebody is excluded just to make somebody comfortable to me as i mentioned before sounds more segregation what these days is really inappropriate. I i go to a club obvious i have my preferences same as someone else have their preferences. What can be atractive maybe can be unattractive to someone else and is a very valid point and for this reazon i don't think having this feeling of segregation in clubs really is appropriate these days . As i say before because you go a club and theres diferent range of people from color , sexuality , gender , body type , race etc , that doesn't mean you need to do anything with them, you are the one who choose and no means no. Other think is you feel uncomfortable with the presence of that people that don't match your criteria , in this case yes i agree the best place to go is clubs where actually the feel of segregation hapen

One of the reasons we have not gone back is because at the time Mrs felt she was the biggest lady in the building and some of the people that went were less than complimentary. We have reapplied (after our membership had lapsed) and been accepted so will probably go in the near future, hoping for a vastly different night. your wife /lady is beautiful but the snobbery of that place doesn't bother you have had a not so good experience on a previous visit? We stated we don't go to nights that do not cater for our needs. Much like some won't go to a BDSM night as they probably won't enjoy it if it's not their thing. We are well versed in the club scene and the etiquette there in - something our 60+ verifications should hopefully show - my comment was that catering for a specific type, as it has been said Le Boudoir does, isn't necessarily any different from a club that caters for BDSM or BBC. The point most seem to be bothered about here is they choose on perceived attractiveness and yes one person's view is not the same as another. But from our experience a lot of people find the same things attractive as their own selves. Not always but usually.

Also have heard the club doesn't really welcome TVs/TS people either. Not somewhere I would go for an evening but if others want to and enjoy it then good for them! Merry Christmas " I have to be honest I agree with you!!!! I’m a member of LB. and I have enjoyed nights at LB. They do have a tremendous amount of applications - and can be selective. For that I appreciate the club even more. There are 3 clubs in local distance to me and whilst that’s great - I do not particularly seek out the clients or guests of as not what I seek. So I lose out of 3 clubs for 1 club that does have members that are more aligned to what I would naturally seek out. It’s gets somewhat frustrating the constant bashing I keep seeing here about LB. they have never been rude or obnoxious to me. The guests are always on point and there is a varying mix. The owners can pick and choose who ever they want. It’s their club, they can afford to be choosey - the numbers of people not just from London who apply for membership. So they have a criteria. It’s alittle like knowing how to dress yourself - I can see outfits that whilst seem great would look shocking on me. So I don’t buy. Same for clubs - you can see are guests are people that would have a natural affinity and interests or are they not my type? Sometimes you just have to be real with yourselves. And sadly many have blinkers on..... Sorry maybe not what some what to hear but hey ho.

If you applied and were not successful, instead of moaning, why not take a look at yourself and ask, can I do better? Wow. Just wow. So you can tell a persons intelligence by just looking at them? Being attractive is more than just how your look on the outside. I have no issue with a club deciding who should be admitted. I do however have issues with people who think they are better then others when they are clearly not. " Agree 100%! Elitist are more often than not deluded and pretentious - just the kind of people the equally deluded and pretentious tend to be attracted to so they can all assist each other to keep up the vain delusion of being better than everyone else. Folks like that are often unpleasant and unlikeable characters, so it's not a bad thing is they happen to club together - not that I'm saying that is the case here necessarily, but we all have to do due diligence on the type of club we attend and try where fits our own needs and beliefs.

" Question for you. Not fishing for compliments and can handle rejection. If you saw us at LB would you be interested? Or would you not expect to find us at LB?" If I’m honest - from your pics - no. And I really am not an elitist tw*t. If they are the type you supplied to LB then I can understand why they rejected. A picture speaks a thousand words. The pic of you two (face shot) is probably the best one you have. So they are likely to turn down based on your pics. And yes they will if you use your fab name check you out on fab if they have time to see who you may party with. Remember - parties are tough to host you have to pick your guests to match what others will like and vice versa. A decent pic doesn’t mean you have to spend money or or have high tech stuff. But looking at what and how your presented - including the room behind you is important. I have seen larger ladies, younger ages higher ages. Ripped guys, larger non ripped guys, and all ages at LB including races! Listen - I’m marmite for a lot of people as I’m so tattooed - I know what it’s like to be rejected or told I don’t fit a guestlist! But knowing how to dress and present yourself is important. Being told you don't have the right look after submitting a pic and/or going to the club for an evening then being told to not come back....yes. I've heard of two separate people (one couple and a single girl) who had this happen to them. But like the world says, rules is rules and they can run their club however they want. You have to think - cool sophisticated cocktail chic. If this isn’t you - then why try to join and go? I personally think the nerdy couples pictures are better then your own I didn’t make an opinion on your pics - nor did I ask for your opinion on my pics. So quite frankly I give zero fucks what you think " Vile attitude aswell I was simply stating the couple are more appealing to me then yourself. It’s called preference

" Question for you. Not fishing for compliments and can handle rejection. If you saw us at LB would you be interested? Or would you not expect to find us at LB? If I’m honest - from your pics - no. It’s called preference " Not a vile attitude - again - that’s your opinion. I just don’t care. Why would I? I don’t know you, you have no baring on my life so I’m hardly offended you don’t like my pics. Again - it’s down to the person who interprets them. Isn’t this forum thread about the exact same thing???? LB can view applicants and decide what fits their venue and guests. And if it’s a no then it’s a no. But You tried to make this personal by hitting reply quote and voicing your opinion over my pics to the couples - I never asked what your thoughts were to me being appealing to you. So you dived in arrogantly stating a fact that was neither asked for. Nor cared for. My response is what it is. Zero fucks given. Lol

"What confuses and frankly galls me is that people get so defensive and entitled when they're told there not attractive enough to pass the bar of a private club yet they will say things on their profiles to exclude, for instance, others based on their race. Surely Le Boudoir management are entitled to allow only the sexy people in according to their 'preferences'? Its a good observation! no one likes to be excluded but everyone has preferences that lead to exclusion... Exactly: it's merely hypocrisy." Please leave common sense out of this thread.... Swingers reject people daily on Fab... the minute these same people get rejected from LB they attack the club.... My question to all the people who have been rejected..... If LB is such a bad club , why did you try to join in the first place?

The club initially sent a rejected email but then when we enquired as to why they told us the wrong one was sent and we had been accepted. We allowed out membership to lapse due to not having the best time there. But when we reapplied again accepted. Sensibly - after some time we want to try the club again.

As mentioned LB nights have many people of all shapes sizes and colours and age attend. So I really wouldn’t have commented on you as people. I just said your best pic was the couples pic (first page on your profile) as I personally thought so and think others would as well. I also said - I’m marmite as heavily tattooed. "i love the euphemism "looking after yourselves" because it doesn't take intot consideration for example you could get hit by a bus tomorrow... for drop dead on your jog! or heaven forbid something else life-altering could happen tomorrow... and then you wouldn't be "looking after yourselves".... I wouldn't put up with that shit if someone alluded to that in relation to "race", and i am certainly not going to put up with that in relation to "size"! so not on my watch and i'll tell it like it is!... and here is one more coming! if they are moving the goalposts so they qualify for their own events, that doesn't really say much for the strengths of guidelines... or conviction to put it mildly! all thank you's and/or abuse can go to my inbox, i'm a big enough adult to be able to take it"

I wouldn't put up with that shit if someone alluded to that in relation to "race", and i am certainly not going to put up with that in relation to "size"! so not on my watch and i'll tell it like it is!... and here is one more coming! if they are moving the goalposts so they qualify for their own events, that doesn't really say much for the strengths of guidelines... or conviction to put it mildly! all thank you's and/or abuse can go to my inbox, i'm a big enough adult to be able to take it I think you’re missing a big caveat....... You as a person have the choice to apply to join this club.... This is just like applying to go to Oxford University, you can’t apply to Oxford with terrible grades , then call Oxford an elitist University for denying you entry with your terrible grades.... People knew the standards before they applied to LB , so they should know there was a chance of rejection..... For the record I couldn’t get into Oxford... you say people knew the standards, how would they know the standards if they've never been, Oxfords reputation has hundreds of years of contribution LB is a swingers club one says ooooo I'm in London wheres nearest club or normally one does then you maybe contact to see if its possible to get in. Ok , maybe this might go over your head but I’ll try again..... As a single guy , I know better than to show up at any high end night club without a great looking female or females on my arm... Because any exclusive high end night club in any major city in the world, will not let anyone in that walks off the street.... LB is no different " lol but youve missed my point entirely how does one know its " a high end club" if ones never been and the feed back from people youve spoken to is " its nothing special" i personally don't expect much from a club its the people that make it, people and cleanliness and nothing goes over my head. My other point earlier was more to do with the attraction of going to a club that has a judgemental criteria for entry which others have talked about not i, i have no interest in going to that particular club because of it but I'm glad you enjoy it, happy new year

" I could (get into Oxford) but turned them down. The same applies to Ms Icebreaker. Some people feel empowered by selection processes that prize the qualities they have (or value) and some people feel repelled by them. That's the whole point of this thread. Getting snitty about it, or making vacuous political points (there is no such thing as Corbynism, despite what one poster suggests above) really doesn't move the conversation on. I think you've got it bang on - there is no one measure of desirability or attractiveness - I feel happy for those who have found Le Boudoir suits their needs, but the language of better or worse....

"How would you know BikeMonkey? You have never been and have no first hand experience. It's all about perspective. Is it Soho House? No, of course not. But then again, Soho House doesn't allow its members to BYOB and end up shagging everywhere! For the record, I went to LB last night. It was busy, it was clean, it was a lovely looking crowd. It wasn't overcrowded with single guys because the club caps the number. When I was checking my coat at the front desk a guy turned up who hadn't booked a ticket, chancing his arm for admission. He had clearly been drinking and he was in trainers and a sweatshirt. The club's owner kept to his principles and refused the guy admission when other clubs wouldn't have given a damn and would have just taken the money. And that Is the difference. As a single lady, that's why I go to this club. I feel safer there. I met a young couple from Asia (extra lovely BTW) who said it was the best club they had ever been too. I met a single guy from France who said he thought it was 'magnifique' too. That is 'real' first hand experience of Le Boudoir. So please, single males from God knows where, speak not of what you don't know! Still wishing you all a Happy New Year " Can you tell me which clubs do let men in that are intoxicated, not on the guest list and dont meet the dresscode? Because that sounds like just about every club I've ever been to (with one exception but then that vlub doesn't cap single men and was truly awful) so I'm not sure that is the barometer for which a club should be measured as having a high standards. I'm also not sure how having some completely subjective membership criteria makes you feel safer either. So come on, which are these clubs that dont "give a dam" and where you wouldn't feel safe?

It’s good that Le Boudior didn’t let the guy in with trainers , sweatshirt that had been drinking it could have been tempting for them to take his £70 - £80 entrance fee but as they have so many regular members there is no need for them to be tempted to take his cash.On a couple of occasions I have seen guys smartly dressed try to get into the members club that I attend and like Le Boudior management have refused them entrance as they are not members.Good to hear that you feel safe ,comfortable and welcomed and that you and the couple from Asia and the French gentleman all had a good time.

"Never been, but I prefer inclusive clubs where all are welcome, rather than “exclusive” where weight, disability, gender and age are used to discriminate. Give me a friendly club everytime. "

"We got the sorry it’s not good news response too. And I for one simply cannot understand why they would reject you. But they di this even yo existing members as I was. " I remember your thread and recall the incident wasn’t quite as you describe. That also applies to a few of the other single males who have posted lengthy diatribes about the club. The only guy who’s kept a consistent position, defended the venue to make its own rules, while accepting his application has been rejected, due to an oversupply of single guys is Costas. Bravo Costas.

Thanks MrHG for your kind words.Yes I have defended the venue to make their own rules it is first and foremost a member only club so it is their right as to who they accept and don’t accept. As most of you know I have applied twice been rejected twice yes I was disappointed and in anger I could have given the reason as been I am too old or foreign but once I reflected on it I can understand that as one of only two members clubs in London that I know off they can take their pick off who they want as members.

" Keep doing what you’re doing Le Boudoir. For everyone else that doesn’t like the venue, please keep the thread going. It reassures Club members who’ve not been, that people like you won’t be there " And there it is people. If that comment isn't arrogant, elitist and quite frankly up their own arse, then what is??

"We got the sorry it’s not good news response too." I clearly won't bother trying! I always look even older than I am in pictures and certainly don't need my lack of looks reinforcing. Having said that,I've been made very welcome at some clubs and had fabulous nights. (Mind you,it could be because I've been accompanied by stunning ladies?)

"For the record, I was at the club on Saturday with a swinging girlfriend, it was jam packed, partly due to this thread. " Please, please tell us how you know this thread was a factor in the club being 'jam packed' on Saturday night?
