What a great night

I really enjoyed myself tonight and met some really great people..being a single bloke i waa not sure what to expect but i was eventualy sat with in my opinion a great bunch of peeps (you know who you are) so no names needed.

but thank you all i had a bloody great night

Was a great night, really busy but managed to speak to quite a few people. Looking forward to my next visit to Xtasia on Friday the 17th

We were there last night. We did feel a little bit like a duck out of water. Chatted to a few couples upstairs but afraid never played with anyone. We did arrange to meet some other couples there but couldn't find them? Name tags were a bit pointless as you couldn't read who was who...too dark in club? Maybe next tie do them in day glo.. Lol

The club was packed but mrs felt very uncomfortable with the amount of single guys and how pushy some were.

We have been to Xtasia a few times now, we were hoping being a big event it would be fun, in reality it won't for us so we left by midnight...

Any pushy guys, or couples for that matter, report them to staff straight away and they will be warned and if they don't listen, asked to leave the club.

We were there last night too and had a great time.

We usually stick with saturday couples night so knew last night would be different with single guys there.

The problem the club had was the night was advertised as a social and as such there was no limits (and rightly so) on single guys.

As an introduction to the club for anyone who had never attended before i think they did a great job, but we will be sticking to saturdays from now on.

Yes your right we sat downstairs and watched it happened but to be fair i dont think its that different to any club with some of the guys.

Pity really if they took the time to chat to people it can be so different.

It was always going to be interesting given that it was a free night, open to all with no limits on specific genders, and billed as a social - yet the play rooms were open and usable.

I think this may have been seen by some as just an opportunity for free entry for a play night - the majority as expected single guys - which had a knock on effect on some couples and singles who were viewing it more as a traditional 'social' with a chance to look around the club.

Personally - I had a great night, took a friend for her first club visit, caught up with some old friends, met some new ones - and managed to put a few faces to some forum regulars.

As for the club itself? Certainly different to many I've seen before! The large dance floor did give it more of a nightclub feel but the play areas were well thought out (although despite searching we couldn't find the hot tub!) and the bar prices were very reasonable. Staff were brilliant and it would be interesting to see it on a normal weekend night!

My first visit - but surely not the last - to Xtasia last night was a great experience. The staff was outstanding, polite, helpful and smiling!

The one positive about having a larger number of single men in comparison to the number of couples is that the playrooms were easily accessible and my gorgeous sexy young partner and I sampled a couple of them during the evening.

My one regret is that the dance floor remained empty most of the evening! It was s great social event, extremely well organised in a club that has its own stamp and character.

Just following the thread for our own info really, but to help with a couple of points that seem to be appearing.

The single guy issue doesn't normally occur in this way. Our regular guys have been "trained"

to try to make approaches at the bar or in the social areas before heading to play with their new friends, and we don't usually get "lurkers", however being a social open to all, we had very little control over the individuals last night. We do think maybe a "Fab couples" only event needs to be considered next though. Please don't judge our normal Fridays on last night, the two are very different.

The jacuzzi still needs some work on it, and was hiding behind the towels last night. Even if working, we wouldn't have opened it last night anyway, water and dancing tend not to go together too well, unless Foam is involved, lol....on which note, please search the Meets Forum for our next Foam Party Guest list...its open and filling up.

I'm quite proud of that link, lol.

We went last night, enjoyed it for the most part, but as we normally go on a sat the amount of single men put me off as some were too pushy.

Met up with a few friends and met some new ones...sadly didnt want to play as the rooms were left dirty after people had used them...i tidy up after we play , tissues in bin and i get the wipes and wipe down out of respect for the next people xx

Agree with the single males, had several touch me up without asking first, so not happy about that, as it put dampner on the night, but there was equally single males that were respectful, so not taring them all with the same brush

having attended _tasia 5th may have to say we were very dissapointed,firstly the new dogging area upstairs is to small and a waste of space ,secondly the other rooms downstairs to small thirdly young single guys shouting and egging people on whilst they were having fun unacceptable behaviour and lastly is this a night club or swinging club we think nigtht club oh and the showers were dirty sorry but our opinion

Having went to the social at _tasia 5th may, i was surprised by the lay out the cleanlness and how friendly the staff was from the door staff right down to the bar staff

i was made to feel welcome and the most of the single men was respectful and understood no was a no

the cinema area was my favorite and the prices at the bar was reasonable

While I love the idea of the dogging room logistically it doesn't work for me, being 6 ft 3 in my heels makes the whole area too small but I love the nightclub aspect of the club, its the reason its one of our favourites.

We travel from Cardiff so want a good night out, one that includes relaxing, chatting dancing & (hopefully) playing so it works well for us.

We had a really good night although the play room we had barely fit the 6 of us

... and the guy looking over the wall while wanking (those mirrors might not be such a good idea) was a little off putting at times ... once ppl started to thin out it was easier to relax and i felt really sorry for a few ppl with the pushy single guys maybe next time it should be a regular single males only I.E. Club members for at least 4 weeks prior to the event ... But all in all a great night was had by all

We left at 11.30 and shot down to Liberty's which turned out to be a stellar decision

I went last night and met a few people off here and had a good night but it did not feel as socialable as a regular club night maybe people were nervous to speak?.Will be back for the greedy girls night on the 24th then the following week for the foam party on the 31st.I am currently working on getting someone to cover for me so i can go to cirque de choas june 30th.

We were there last night. Although we had a good night, there were a few things that had we not been before, could have put us off going again.

There seemed to be a lot of new people (possibly even new to swinging) who were there, who just didn't seem to know how to behave - childish wooping, leering over the walls, bashing off people instead of asking you politely if they could pass.

There were single guys - who arrived together in threes and fours - who seemed to just prowl around like a hunting pack... and in some cases just a pure arrogant attitude.

Having said that about single guys, we did overhear two couples rather agitated conversation, about how if some person(s) were not carefull they would soon sort them out.

Numbers wise, at one stage there was just too many people and impossible to talk as you were being interupted to move to let people pass or just pushed out of the way.

The seating area reduced around the dancefloor had been reduced, meaning you had to sit upstairs away from the dancefloor.

On a positive note, the staff were as always really friendly, and didn't take the mickey too much when I had to rather begrudgingly order Becks Blue as it was my turn to drive lol. We had a good catch up with some old friends, put some faces to some names off here, even if we didn't really get a chance to chat to them.

Looking forward to the next one!

There were a lot of new guys there, and although I've seen the good the bad and the ugly there over the last 8-10 years, my partner last night's comments as a first timer are probably more pertinent as she too felt intimidated and put off by some of the juvenile antics of the younger element of the singles fraternity.

That said, as Xtasia pointed out, this wasn't the Xtasia membership present. It was the membership of Fabswingers dot Com, there on a freebie. It seems unfair that Xtasia are getting the blame for this bad behavior, and this site (on behalf of it's membership) gets away scott free. Anyone who has problems with the behavior of these guys, find and print out the guest list and cross reference it with any approaches that you get from guys on here. Maybe the Mods can do likewise if ever they need corroboration for any other complaints made against any of the names on there.

Think we learnt a lot from this event and are slowly working through all the points to see what we can do better next time.

Think the major one is the poor behaviour of many of the guys. As staff we occasionally caught someone, ie peeking over the walls, or ladies with shoes on beds, and asked them politely to stop, however we didn't pick up on this major irritation many of you felt, as to us it was an outside group of people holding a social, over which we had little control. Yes we had regular members here as well, but the majority of visitors were here for a Fab Social, and as such were allowed in. We expected them to socialise and follow the standard codes of conduct we all expect from the scene, but obviously some have ignored this and spoilt what was essentially a great event.

So...next time....couples only, singles with 5 verifications or more....accompanied singles....let us know what you think.

Seeing as it seems to be a minority of single guys that spoilt things for quite a few people on Sunday, I do think tighter controls on the single guys attending any future events will be needed.

Once again, a small number of idiots spoil it for the genuine single males on the swinging scene. These events could of been a great way for single guys to get thier first verifications by attending a great social and mixing with other swingers.

I thought I'd throw my thoughts into this debate. To position myself first, I am a member of Xtasia and have normally attended as a single male on a Friday night, but have also attended on an occasional Saturday with a lady playfriend and I was also at last years New Years Eve Party which was open to singles and couples.

At the outset I thought this party night was an inspired but somewhat brave decision for the owners to hold the party. It carried risks but also created an opportunity to promote the club and potentially to get some new members especially as the club has significantly changed in the last 12 months.

I attended on Sunday night with a play partner and while it wasn't her first night at a club, it was her first visit to Xtasia.

My overall impression of the night was that it was pretty successful with most things working fine. There was some behaviour by some gentlemen that was less than expected, for example a guy literally climbing a wall to look into the silhouette room, but conversely when we entered the cinema room my lady was a little bit apprehensive as the entrance was blocked by single guys. However, as I expected, all moved easily to allow us to enter and all the guys in the room were well behaved, asking permission to join in and my lady allowing that to happen despite her initial concerns and she ended up really enjoying herself.

If I compared the whole night to that of a typical Friday night, there would be a great deal fewer people in, thus there is a lot more room to play and secondly there is a lot fewer single males in per se.

If Xtasia were to hold such an event again, I would hope that they wouldn't stop single males attending, but use a mechanism as suggested by an earlier poster for example such as free entry on that night for single male members of the club whom are FAB members or even a charge for single male entry to keep the numbers a little bit lower.

It's amusing though in some ways.. Often there are threads on this Forum where people argue passionately about whether single males should be charged the same price as couples for club entry with views for and against. On Sunday night, Xtasia effectively conducted an experiment (perhaps not on purpose) to see what would happen if the price was the same for all, male, female & couples. The result was in my opinion that some single males let themselves down, but overall the vast majority of people had fun.

Interestingly, Xtasia is hosting another Sunday party in a couple of weeks which is also free entry but invite only off another website. It'll be interesting to see how that develops and how any lessons learnt by Xtasia are implemented on the night.

As I said earlier in this thread we normally attend on Saturdays for couples only night so were quite aware that Sunday would be a completely different experience for us.

Any single guys we spoke to in the social areas were very friendly and respectful and I can't say the amount of single guys there was a problem.

The only moan I would have was when we were in the couples only room (this was quite late) there were a lot of single guys stood in the door way egging us on but this was only a mild annoyance, at no time did I feel really uncomfortable. As previously mentioned, I think it's unfair that the club is getting the rap for what affectively was a fab event.

The mobile phone thing has also been mentioned a lot both in forums and reviews. I'll admit it was a bit of a shock when I first attended the club as we have young children and I like to know I can be contacted in an emergency but I completely understand why as a club you do it & would rather have the mild disruption of having to go and check my phone every so often rather than finding our pictures on the net somewhere as someone had taken our photos at the club.

If I was to make any suggestions for next time they would be:

Limit the overall number of guests to a slightly smaller amount so there is more room to move.

Let people know in advance about the mobile phones, It's up to them to make an informed choice then whether to attend or not.

Maybe get a few more staff in to 'patrol' the play areas to keep the inexperienced and over eager under control.

Make print on name badges bigger.

All of that said we had another great night at Xtasia and look forward to our next visit, so well done Paul and Flirt

The topic of mobile phones has been raised quite a few times in the last couple of days.

Whereas I do agree it can be a bit of a pain to have to go and get your phone from the cloakroom/reception to check it, I would much rather that then have some idiot decide to take pics/vids with thier phone whilst there and then upload to youtube etc, which has happened in other clubs recently.

As to people being warned before hand, I know there were quite a few posts in the various threads saying anyone that hasn't been before please check out Xtasia's website for more information on the club. If people would of done this and looked in the FAQ section, they would of found this,

Can I take pictures in the club?

Absolutely not. The rule protects us all. Any recording devices, including mobile phones must be left at the door. We have a very secure cloakroom facility for these, and you can access your phone at any point by coming back to reception; however they are not permitted anywhere else in the club. Anyone found trying to photograph or video anything in the club will be ejected, and the media destroyed. All members are asked to report any incident of this nature to staff should it ever occur.

anyone that had been before would of known this anyway. This is one rule I hope the club keep enforcing.

As I've said I completely agree, for all the reasons you mention. Before our first visit I looked at the website but obviously didn't see this so I don't think it's too much to ask to mention it in a guest list thread, plus we all know not everyone looks at the website. Then if people are still unaware, well it's their own fault!

Did you take advantage of the free membership for couples that was on offer on Sunday?

Have a look at thier website for what themes they have on each Fri/Sat for the next few months, even better when it is slightly less crowded than it was on Sunday

Its not the massive price thats the issue if its free its free for all untill the turn of the yr we went club fairly regular since jan wife has a new job and we cant get there as often as we wish but if its only £10 you can send me a message ill give you our postal address and you can give me £10 after all its only a tenner lol

There was an offer on at the social on Sunday, couples and single females could get free membership if they signed up on the night and single guys could get membership for £10 insteead of the normal £25.

There were quite a few signs about and I told quite a few people on the night as well!

Thats actually a good idea that potentially would have benefitted the club. I did see the signs around the club myself, but you are correct, as they were on white A4 paper, they didn't stand out and certainly weren't "in your face" so to speak.

The club could also perhaps have given a small flyer to everyone entering the club with perhaps a code on it saying that if joining as a member within say 2 weeks or 1 month of the party night, then the offer stood.

The problem ofcourse is, it's a fine line, if the club had over promoted itself, then no doubt some people would complain about that too.

Thank you for identifying why we didn't do it. It was a Fab Social, and as such we felt we couldn't actively promote our own membership, so a few signs around the building seemed to work, for most.

Around 50 visitors signed up on the night, but as a compromise we'll keep the guest list, and if you are on it, we'll honour our offer, Free to couples and single females, £10 to single guys. The reason we offered this in the first place was this social brought in lots of "new" faces to our club, ones we'd like to see back again and again, especially for those existing members who feel we need more faces around the club at times.

Will point out that we may refuse to honour the offer to some, if we feel they might have been in the young hunting pack fraternity who visited.

There were some people that attended on Sunday, that would not be welcome again at a swingers club until they learned manners and a little bit about swinging etiquette rather than the meat market mentality of some.

I'm looking forward to meeting some of the new members that joined on Sunday on a not quite so busy night in the near future

We didn't attend the FFFF night for some of the aforementioned reasons in this thread.

We visited once and had an unfortunate experience with a group of men. We gave the night the benefit of the doubt but had another episode, which we are pretty certain was members of the same group.

If this is the case of the night that passed, then I think the organiser(s) need to review this information and make some suggestions to combat this.

This isn't a dig as such, as I know they do a sterling job of promoting this night and deserve plenty of credit.

We also recognise that it's not every single male that should be tarnished with the same brush.

However, for the sake of ruining it for every one else, I do hope they take on board the comments.

Xtasia cannot be responsible for events run outside their usual remits and credit to Paul and Flirt to support the Free event. It should definitely continue, as it's a fantastic way to introduce new swingers to the scene. And it's a lovely way for them to give something back.

And yes, single males should also benefit from this. After all, they typically invest more into the scene than couples and females.

That said, it doesn't give them a right to behave in a certain way that makes 1) people feel uncomfortable and 2) ruins the reputation of single men.

I commend the ideas of more verifications (genuine ones) to offer credibility. And if couples/females invite a male to join them downstairs, then perhaps a method in where they come back upstairs with them.

For the first timers, like Xtasia mentions, the free night is no reflection of a typical night at Xtasia. If it was, then we wouldn't have returned.

But rest assured, we go many times and we visit many clubs around the country and Xtasia is one we very much endorse.

This thread is WELL over a year old and was resurrected by someone with a post that had no bearing on the FFFF nights whatsoever

Most of the comments that were made well over a year ago have indeed been listened to and where practical and warranted Xtasia have acted upon them.

Might be worth reading threads that refer to the 2 FFFF events that have taken place this year already to see how they're running now rather than a very outdated thread
