Platform Responsibilities

Hundreds of thousands of people use FabSwingers each month. We work to keep our community safe through checks on public content, proactive detection and an experienced in-house team. This page explains that work and how to report a problem. To find out more about our community and the people who run the site, see About FabSwingers.

Our commitment

We do not tolerate abuse, exploitation or illegal activity through our service. We actively look for misuse and take action to stop it.

We do not create fake member profiles or use bots or AI to pose as members, start conversations or manufacture interest.

FabSwingers is subject to the Online Safety Act 2023. We maintain and review an illegal content risk assessment and use it to inform our safety measures, moderation procedures and staff training.

Adults only

You must be 18 or over to use FabSwingers. Members must complete age assurance before they can access adult content or interact with other members. Our age assurance page explains the methods we accept.

Public content

Profiles, forums, chatrooms and event listings are moderated using a combination of automated systems and human review. Public photographs and profile content are checked before publication. All content is subject to our Terms and Conditions and Photo Rules.

Members must appear in the photographs they upload. Photographs must not include anyone under 18. Intimate images of another person must never be shared without that person’s consent.

New and unverified accounts have tighter limits on photograph uploads. We also deliberately limit their visibility across the site, reducing their reach and the potential for misuse.

If we detect child sexual exploitation and abuse content, we remove it and report it through the National Crime Agency’s platform for industry.

Intimate image abuse

Intimate image abuse has no place on FabSwingers. This includes sharing or threatening to share an intimate image of somebody without their consent. Permission to take or receive an image does not include permission to upload it, send it to other people or use it to threaten or control somebody.

If an intimate image of you has been shared without your consent, you, or somebody acting for you, can report it through our Report Content page, even without a FabSwingers account. We review every report and remove confirmed intimate image abuse within 48 hours.

We take action against the account responsible, based on what has happened. This may include blocking it from adding new photographs or closing it altogether.

Our team and systems

We’re proud of our in-house Site Administrators: a female-led, majority-female team based here in Great Britain. They oversee all moderation and compliance across FabSwingers, including the systems we use and how reports are handled.

We use automated systems to proactively identify and tackle misuse across the site, supporting our in-house team. They can stop harmful activity before it reaches other members, and we may restrict or lock an account while we investigate.

Security and reliability

Security is part of how we build, maintain and run FabSwingers. We work to protect members’ information, prevent unauthorised access to our systems and keep the service running reliably. This includes maintaining our software and infrastructure, monitoring for security issues and reviewing our protections as the service and the threats it faces change.

Reporting a problem

Use the report option beside the relevant profile, message, photograph or other content wherever possible. This gives us the information we need to investigate.

If you cannot use the report option, use Contact. You do not need to be a member to report a concern.

If you are unhappy with how we handled a safety report, or with a decision about your content or account, use our complaints process to ask us to review it.

Photo verification

Built in-house, our Photo-verify INSTANT! system uses a live camera capture to check that the person using an account appears in its photographs. It checks for a real person in front of the camera and for attempts to fool the system using still photographs, AI-generated images or other spoofs.

Over half of our members have completed photo verification. Both people using a couple’s account must complete the process separately.

We may also require photo verification when investigating reports, including reports that somebody’s intimate image has been shared without their consent.

Messages and member controls

We use automated systems to identify and block messages that appear abusive. Every message includes a Block control, and members can report individual messages, attachments and accounts directly to us.

Our inbox attachment settings put members in control. They can keep incoming photographs blurred and choose which ones to reveal.

How we handle reports

We assess reports and take action where our rules have been broken. Straightforward breaches may be dealt with automatically. Sensitive, serious or complex cases are reviewed by our Site Administrators.

Depending on what has happened, we can remove content, restrict account features, require further verification, suspend an account or close it.

We also consider reports of serious conduct connected with FabSwingers that takes place away from the site. We use the information available to decide what action to take against an account. That is separate from a police investigation: where a crime may have occurred, it should also be reported to the police.

Consent on FabSwingers

Everyone using an account must do so willingly. We do not allow accounts or images to be used without the agreement of the people involved, or our service to be used to pressure, threaten or harass anyone. If this happens, contact us so we can investigate and take action.

Members are responsible for what they post and how they behave, and must follow our Terms and Conditions.

Modern slavery and human trafficking

We do not tolerate anyone using FabSwingers to traffic, exploit or control another person. This includes forcing or pressuring someone into sexual activity or using an account to arrange their exploitation.

We proactively look for signs of trafficking and exploitation using automated systems and manual review.

If you suspect this is happening, report the account or contact us. You do not need to be a member to raise a concern.

Law enforcement

We respond to all lawful enquiries from law enforcement. Most enquiries we receive are requests under the Investigatory Powers Act 2016 (IPA). These requests carry statutory confidentiality duties, which can prevent us from confirming or discussing individual requests.

Further information is available on our Law Enforcement page.

Your privacy

You can use a screen name on FabSwingers, and you don’t have to display your real name to other members. We hold account and technical information to run the service, protect members, deal with misuse and meet our legal obligations.

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it and how long we keep it.

Staying safer online and when meeting

Think of FabSwingers as a meeting place, much like a pub. The proprietor is responsible for running the establishment properly, setting rules and dealing with trouble. That does not mean they personally know or recommend everyone who comes through the door.

Our role is similar. We run the site, carry out checks, moderate content and act against misuse. Members choose who they get to know. Age assurance and photo verification serve specific purposes; they are not an endorsement of someone’s character, intentions or behaviour.

You decide who you speak to, what you share and whether to meet. Our checks can help inform those decisions, but cannot replace your own judgement.

For practical advice on protecting your account and privacy, spotting scams and dealing with blackmail or pressure, see Staying Safer Online.

If you’re considering meeting someone, read Safer Meets. It explains what our checks can and cannot tell you, and the precautions to take before meeting.
