Almost a year clean. Out of a relationship that wasn't good for me and made me worse for a while. That's the short version.

The longer version is that I'm on the other side of it now and honestly I feel better than I have in years. Lighter. More myself. When you strip away everything that was pulling you down, you get pretty clear on who you are and what you actually want.

I like calm environments, good energy, and people who don't force things. I'm drawn to connections that feel natural but still have that underlying tension, the kind you notice without having to talk about it. The build-up, the back-and-forth, the eye contact that does the work. That's where the fun starts for me.

I know what I like. I'm comfortable saying it. I appreciate confidence without ego, someone who can hold a conversation, laugh a little, and understands that attraction can be quiet and steady rather than loud.

Discretion matters. So does respect. I've had my fill of drama and situations that spiral. I like things mutual, easy, understood. If you're someone (or a couple) who communicates well, knows your limits, and enjoys stepping just slightly past them, we'll probably get along.
