If you're going to contact us, please read our profile fully and try to be credible. Here are some bits about us in no particular order, an A to Z in a manner of speaking.

a) We'd prefer to hear from couples aged at least 40 and north thereof. Please note the operative words(couples and at least 40). Nothing personal it just feels uncomfortable to us to engage with people who will soon get fed up of us asking where we've left our reading glasses.

b) Informed and intelligent conversation is essential for us. This doesn't mean people who never stop talking, just people who know how to start.

c) We are relatively experienced but by no means indiscriminate.

d) We both hold advanced degrees though in very different disciplines.

e) Rafeeqa recently retired as a surgeon having also built and sold to highly successful businesses in the photography and media library industries.

f) Meeting another couple in person is always significant for us, it is never an act of casual flippancy.

g) Invitations to clubs are not necessarily the way to our attentions. Neither are messages of just two or three words or messages from people who clearly haven't read our profile.

h) We're not big into photo swapping. Sending us your unsolicited pictures doesn't mean we'll feel an onus to reciprocate. Please note, we won't swap face pics simply because someone sends us their's.

i) Because Rafeeqa has a professional interest in photography, she often 'fabs' photos where she likes the content, the composition,the technique or some subliminal connotation that Philip doesn't understand and which you most likely never even intended. It's not always a signal of intent.

j) Rafeeqa has an unusually long tongue and loves rimming. (Subsequent messages generally show who's actually read this far ??)

k) Rafeeqa can't answer every message she gets asking for photography tips so instead she has written a brief guide to taking better photos using mobile phones & tablets which she sometimes copies and pastes into replies where she thinks it might help. Some people however, are beyond help.

l) We are very down to earth and prefer the company of similarly grounded people. Being understated is frequently underestimated.

m) We only meet or play as a couple.

n) We can be difficult to get hold of as we tend to travel quite a lot.

o) Our handle is not a clue to where we live. In normal times we split our time between homes in Muswell Hill (London) and County Wexford (Ireland).

p) Whilst we have our own preferences and boundaries, we're not so arrogant as to think that our deviance is right and someone else's is wrong.

q) We enjoy the company of intelligent, polite and considerate couples regardless of their faith, nationality, race or sexuality. No time for xenophobia, homophobia or racism, not in this lifetime or any other.

r) Apparently we now like making bullet point lists.

s) Rafeeqa represented Britain as a freestyle climber for a number of years and could probably still give it a good go at seniors level.

t) We are a culturally mixed couple in case you haven't yet figured that much out (Anglo-Irish and Anglo-Indian).

u) We grew up in the same part of Hertfordshire and despite attending boarding schools in different parts of the country, university in different cities and having careers that sent us around the world, usually in different directions, we've been a couple since our early teens and that is a very very long time ago.

v) We only engage with other couples. Attraction will not have anything to do with your size, experience or self-proclaimed stamina.

w) We might be a bit coy at first simply because we find that a little bit of restrained observation often serves us well.

y) If you're going to write a rude introductory message to us, do it with a little creativity, if you're going to be vulgar, be properly vulgar, if you're going to be explicit, do it to the point of making us blush. Please make it cleverer than 'Does she like it long and hard?' or 'Hi, I'm horny, do you want to meet now?'.

z) Sydney University and all other institutions using this or any Adult Friend Finder site or its associated sites for projects, if you find anything interesting here, you can kiss our shiny puckered arses.
