The next Drogheda Casual Social will take place on Sunday 22nd December 2024, from 2pm, in a Drogheda venue to be confirmed to verified attendees.

New attendees will be required to meet at an alternative venue at 1.30pm to be vetted in person.

This is to ensure privacy and safety.

What is the Drogheda Casual Social?

Drogheda Casual Social is a different kind of social event. Held every month on the last Sunday of the month, the Drogheda Casual Social (DCS) will not be ticketed and attendance will be if and when you like, once you've passed the initial verification. DCS will be held in the same regular venue and you can simply pop along and enjoy an early afternoon catch up with local Fab friends.

DCS is designed primarily for local Fabbers and those in proximity to Drogheda. However, we always welcome friends who may be travelling a little further. While there are great socials held in Dublin, Dundalk, the Midlands, there just isn't anything in Drogheda, or during the daytime in Louth at all. DCS hopes to fill that void and give people a casual way to meet other Fabbers, to get 'Meet Verified', and who knows maybe you'll make new friends.

What do I need to attend?

You will then be assessed on the following criteria:

- Time on Fab: Minimum four weeks.

- Pic Verified: Need to see the tick.

- Profile Pic / Public Pic: No pic no invite

- Bio: Who are you and what do you like. Two lines or a 'fill in later' won't cut it.

If you have all of the above, then you will be invited to the Pre-Social Verification.

This is just to make sure you are who you say you are and that you don't show up with friends who did not request an invite. Ultimately, attendance will be at the discretion of admins and there will be zero tolerance for any anti-social behaviour or aggressive actions.

Drogheda Casual Social Etiquette Guide

- The whole reason for the social is to be social - talk to people and introduce yourself.

- It's perfectly ok to stick to your handle or 'Fab Name's during the social.

- Similarly, you are not required to divulge any personal information that you do not want to.

- Please also be respectful of other people's privacy, and only ask something once.

- Mingle and try to chat to everyone - this is a social and we want people to get to know each other.

- If you are in need of verification(s), please ask and actually talk to people.

- This is a social and not a play event. It is a Sunday afternoon.

- Remember that this is a public venue - not everyone is a Fabber.

Drogheda Casual Social Strict Rules

- Do not share the meet location or any attendee information with anyone outside the social.

- This is a vanilla, casual, daytime social - dress appropriately, no alcohol or drug.

- Conduct yourself in a friendly, well-mannered, respectful way.

- We expect an unquestionable commitment to consent and personal space. No means no. Unwanted physical contact is unacceptable.

- No photography or recording of any kind without explicit permission of everyone in the photograph.

- There is absolutely no responsibility taken for any meetings arranged for outside the social.

Breaking any of the above rules may result in dismissal from the Drogheda Casual Social verified attendee list and exclusion from future socials.
