As the title suggests, back home in Wales for a bit and it's been full of tmewasters and flakes, it's like I'm going through a dry season. Curious how often you guys meet others on here?

Guys, girls, couples, TV/TS... interested to hear all sides!

In London, no problem. Here in Wales everyone sees themselves as super ‘discreet’, so my experience has been a lot of back and forth messages with no actual meet ever occurring. Today I was meant to meet a ‘straight’ guy, he wouldn’t come to my place - car meet only. So I refused, too weird.

Most of what I find on here are people who want to meet up within an hour from talking (but never turn up) and those that want to see more picture's, oh also other's who asks questions that have been stated on your profile.

London is a city. One that gay and bi people have gravitated towards for centuries to live more openly and be themselves.

Comparing experiences there with those in a small town in Wales - well they’re obvious going to be very different.

It’s nothing to do with Wales - I’m sure it’ll be similar If you compared London with a small town not far away, like Dorking.

The “pool” of potential people is much greater in a city, like London or Cardiff. There’ll always be timewasters, but more chance of finding the right person too.

I meet, but only after extensive chatting and working up to it. The sex I enjoy can't be done as a one nighter as trust needs to be built.

Even with this, I get as many meets as I wish but that's the benefit of being female on this site.

The social aspect is important to me and I'm not looking for a one nighter. I seek fwb, and that has to start with friendship and getting to know each other.

Not everyone who won't meet you just for sex is a fake or flake, some are gonna be looking for something different to what you are offering.

There isn't anything wrong with how you or they are using the site just that you have different needs.

A couple of years ago we was pretty active but the site just seems like hard work at the moment, it just seems easier to rock upto a club and see how the night pans out.

On average I meet once a year! It literally is really difficult as a single guy to meet on here unless you're active in the club's and socials etc. I just think adult dating is hard work in general as the majority will have to balance work, family and other commitments.

Agreed but in London, I’m getting the same messages from profiled ‘not looking for single men’ or just ‘women’ advertised. But they generally actually meet. In Wales they panic about everything!

I assume that was at me.

At present I tend to meet someone new about once a month, but yet to get someone regular who can actually meet me.

My goal is to have about up to 3-5 partners whom I meet once a month or two for some fun. I would expect those to change over time.

But I also have a nested primary partner at home too (who knows and supports me having other people in my life).

God what I'd give to have a regular partner! I'm on another dating site also and still find it difficult to get a meet. I'm not saying I'm God's gift to women but to even get a conversation going these days is a challenge! I think all these apps have numbed us to actual conversations and connections

Exactly what I'm after... but they usually disappear for a month or two, then come back! By that point - I'm not that interested anymore! haha.
