Would anyone be willing to help me get into the social side of fab? I.e gatherings and parties? Maybe accompany me to my first one? (just friends) I'm a little shy to begin with.

Best thing for you to do is attend planned social events, chat and mix with people. Its perfectly fine to attend these alone, we have both done it when we were single.
