Hi,

So I’ve recently been popping back into the chat rooms and the Wales room is always empty... what’s happened? What sort of days and times is it busy these days?

Everytime I've been in and said hello/how is everyone when there's a few people in has been met with silence.

So I tend to go to the SW now. Which is a bit of a shame as I'd love to connect with fellow South Wales members!

Do be honest MissMav, it comes down do a certain couple for me. Constantly bad mouthing single males. Commenting on people using the term unicorn as being bad practice etc. There is never a good word from them. Its exhausting and plain rude. Its the minority that continue to ruin it for the rest of us. Not just the single males but couples too.

Agreed, used to be 50+ in there on a regular basis. I dunno what killed it but it's a shame imo.

Totally agree.....I spent many hours having a laugh in wales chat.... have popped in recently and have tbh it's dead and boring. Shame..... .

When I 1st started on fab the chat room was great was a great way of chatting + breaking the ice.

I met a lot of people some of whom I now class as real good friends.

I still pop in now + then but as others have said it's not like it was and a lot of people have stopped using it because of a few.

I like SW too, and a few of the general rooms are a good laugh if the right mix of people are there

It’s a bit of a shame. The chat rooms were recommended to me but only interested in locals and the Wales page is always empty.

Maybe the Wales chatroom can have special events like couples night where only couples can use it between a certain time. You probably need a moderator to be involved so they can boot non couples out. Then you can have a singles night but with a bit of control over men to women ratio. Also a gay/bi night, a newbie night or long time member night.

This is a nice idea but it wouldn't be able to be moderated and can't isolate people but I understand your reasoning. I still see alot of Welsh in chat but not Wales chat room probably because of the lack of others

It not to isolate people but more to let everyone enjoy the chatroom eg single women can be put off if it's just them and 20 men. Couples sometimes want to chat with other couples. What we could do is everyone agree best time and day to all go on Wales chatroom. The create a new thread with the time and day in title see how that turns out.

I understand what you mean but others couldn't be banned from chat because they're not of the sex that people like. I understand women can be put off by lots of men but that's the way of this site, there will always be 10 males to 1 woman stats wise if not more
