I hadn't seen a single episode until July this year and watched all 8 seasons in about a month. But yes it did wrap up rather too quickly and felt rushed but I wasn't completely disappointed. There were some things left up in the air rather than the classic Hollywood happily ever after ending.

The last 3 episodes of season 8 undid years of character development and carefully crafted plot. It was such lazy writing.

Couldn’t believe it! Loved the show so much and that’s how they decided to end it. At least Bronn survived.
