AC/DC have a few good sing-a-long tracks but nothing like the range of music Zeppelin did.

As an example: I collected all Led Zeppelin's albums as a teen but only a couple of AC/DC singles.

Both

I've seen ac/dc live twice and they are truely amazing for a sing along and a dance. If I wanted to just chill out though led zeppelin is what I'd go for.

For me, Led Zeppelin are the better band by far but AC/DC are great for getting the blood pumping.

I cam listen to AC/DC anytime but have to be in the mood for Led Zepplin , they're just a little heavier and moodier but both incredible bands

This is spot on. But there's something about AC/DC when you're 4 pints in...

Plus Robert Plant liked underage groupies and they plagiarised songs.

Apologies. If you can separate the art from the artist then you can still love the music...

Its from a new account, he must have googled how to get noticed. Started a number of message threads asking questions.

Then again I guess it's better than the usual - give me help with my profile - or why don't people answer my messages - threads

Zep for us! 'Gallows Pole', 'In the Evening' 'Black Country Woman' - 70s British culture par excellence!

AC/DC crude antipodean twerps by comparison! They were much better with Brian as singer that Bon though - now theres another argument in the making!

'Back in Black' was so good - first time we saw the 'you shook me all night long' vid was on TISWAS!

Led Zep all day long. Huge fan of both, they're very different bands.

AC/DC are amazing live, very catchy songs but Led Zeppelin were streets ahead for musicianship.

Antipodean? Bon Scott and the Young brothers were all Scottish!

AC/DC were brought up in Oz.

How old was Plant's gf?

I don't mind Led Zeppelin, but I'd prefer AC/DC any day. Saw them on the Blow Up Your Video tour in 1989 at Wembley Arena. Fantastic show.

Two types of music imho:

Led Zep originated from blues/folk

AC/DC: heavy rock

(and Robert Plant is a living God!)

Pontypridd/Rhyfelin

Had a beer with Jimmy Page once, just before he played a small gig in a night club in Ibiza....

Went to see John Miles (who remembers?). He had a few unannounced friends in support....turned out to include Jimmy Page & Roger Taylor.

Zeppelin definitely had more range and were more experimental, but AC/DC will definitely get any party going. I was listening to Physical Graffiti the other day and there's a run of tracks on there that can't really be beaten in terms of song quality and musicianship.

Page duck walking across the stage during 'The Song Remains The Same' = phenomenal.

Bonzo's 'fantasy sequence' = man of simple pleasures!
