"Being married shouldn't be such a bad thing. In my own case, I'm happily married except for one thing...the sex. And it's no-one's fault. My wife simply doesn't have a libido. Not her fault and noting wrong between us. Just no interest at all. So what's a man to do?! Divorce and ruin our children's lives and loose that companionship, just for sex? I don't think so. Resign oneself to no more sex and only porn as an outlet? I'd rather not as well. What's so wrong with seeking some sexual contact outside of wedlock if it's all up front, no promises or expectations? What's wrong with a FWB as long as there's mutual respect? It should be possible." Ask these questions to your wife and see if she agrees with you.

"Ask these questions to your wife and see if she agrees with you." She does. But that doesn't validate or invalidate the argument you're trying to make. It doesn't logically follow that one person's feelings trumps another's. From an ethical perspective, what I've proposed is a no-no from a deontological perspective, but can be perfectly fine from a consequentialist perspective. It can go either way under a virtue ethical perspective.
