So oooooooo when messaging ppl and having a chat, all going good then u all agree to exchange face pics, obviously someone sends first, if you don't like what u see, you send a polite no thank you message but is that then end of it or is it polite to still send yr pic? I'm thinking if you see their pic first and don't like wot u see then no need to send yrs surely. ...

I'd be polite and say sorry not for us.

Near Merthyr

I usually attach one to my first message. If I don't get a reply I know it's a non-starter. I then use the private notes to remind me that they didn't reply. Saves time and effort in accidentally repeat-messaging people who've already made it clear they're not interested.

The block option is good for that.

I would have thought whoever's made first contact, should send a pic first.

But if I receive one and they aren't to my taste, then I think it's fair to say theres no obligation to send one back.

After all you're about to say no, so reaction isn't always easy to predict, so I'd rather they dont have my picture!!

Close enough

If I've been sent a pic then I always send one back even if it's accompanied by a polite "no thankyou".

The reason for this is fair play. I've recognised the person before and still sent a pic reiterating the discretion I expect and always give.

There is nothing worse than not knowing if you've been recognised.

Pics in my view should always be sent both ways. It's rude not to.

I don't think pics should be asked for if intention to send one back isn't part of the deal.

An accompanying "no thank you" still holds weight in my view.

Just reading this back and it's no surprise that the majority of men are saying yes to sending one in return as it's the polite method and women saying the opposite but yet men are judged to be the rude ones here?

Agree.. Not replying is often some what rude, although a simple not interested without a picture is more than fine

Definitely no need to send yours if there's no attraction.

To be fair I think both parties should count 3-2-1 then press send together so you both get to perve each other

I thought I'd get at least someone to agree with me lol.

Maybe it's because you are a man of your word.

I'm in a rare position where I don't need to send a face pic, because mine is available on my profile as I DGAF who sees it or not....

It might explain why 99.9% of my messages go unnoticed, but hey ho..... Can't win them all..... But at least people know that I am genuine if nothing else. And, those who do give me the privilege of chatting tend to feel more comfortable and volunteer their pics anyway.
