Anyone else think this is just to much of an headache! arranging meets then getting let down! then there’s the 1s with all the excuses going! What is the point in that? Is thinking it’s time for a little break off here for me anyway (Jess)

Sadly there are more time wasters and tire kickers than I would like, but when a meet does work out it almost makes up for it.

Saying that I'm guessing single women and couples get it much worse than single guys do.

We get a load of offers for socials, but get let down so many times we. Now having difficulty on who is really willing to meet for socials and probably dropping the real McCoy's who are really keen to join us..

I agree here OP. All your forum posts seem of a negative nature which suggests either Fab is not what you were expecting or it is not currently ptoviding you with what ever it is you are actually looking for. Fab can be a tough place to be especially if you take things to heart and are a bit naive. Take a break would be my advice as you are clearly not enjoying yourself here. Good luck OP

We have had ZERO let-downs or getting stood up in 10 years on here.

We only commit to a meet or social when we are absolutely sure that the other party are genuine, and if that means they have to wait, then so be it. Those who aren't really serious about meeting will fall away, and those left will become good friends.

If you keep getting let down, I'd take a look at your selection process maybe?

This

I’ve been on and off for 5 years now but have never been stood up or let down. I’ve very stringent on who gets to communicate with me and to plan meets etc

It can be a bit tough on here sometimes, but we find dealing with the fakes and people who mess you about is worth it for the friends we’ve made.

We don’t rely on this as our sole source of fun so maybe if you can try and either adjust your expectations of the site or have a little break and work out what you would like from it that may do some good.

As was suggested have a look at your selection process, some of the stuff that comes through on here is more funny than frustrating though. We just had a couple asking if we were interested and sending pictures, and when we politely declined because they weren’t for us they announced they never liked us anyway. Classic Tuesday entertainment.

Hope that things work out whatever you decide OP, most important thing is to be happy, as soon as the site or this lifestyle stops being fun, it’s time to Re-evaluate.

Had my fair share of cancelled meets but at the end of the day the ones I have met through here have been well worth it. I tend to speak on here for a while and then on kik or WhatsApp to let things develop rather than try to rush and force meets.

OK so when they cancel its a pain but blue balls never killed anyone as far as I know.

Hoping to keep finding the gems on here.

The struggles of a single male on fab are tough but rewarding in my experience so far

Def worth persevering. There are plenty on site who are genuine, and we've met some lovely people.

I think there's a distinction to be made between 'no shows' which we've virtually never encountered, and the shenanigans which goes into finally getting as far as a meet, which can feel like a lot of legwork at times filtering out those that are never going to get as far as meeting. Does take a lot of effort which is why we also enjoy club visits -for the times we just can't be arsed. None of the effort needed.
