"To all you experience do fabbers our there a question as this has happened 3 times this week .you see a profile that interests you so you message .you then get a positive reply saying yes we would like to chat so you respectfully ask when .then you get no message even though you know it’s been read .so you ask if they /she has changed thier/her mind which is ok .instead of a respectful answer you find yourself blocked .That to me is just rude or is it standard on here ? " I think its just confusion over what you interpret as "chat". They probably mean they are happy to swap messages, whilst you mean to actually chat on the phone. Most won't give out phone numbers, at least not straight away, and your subsequent message(s) may be seen as "pushy", hence the block.

" How soon after did you ask if they’d changed their mind? If it was within a day or two, I imagine that would seem pushy to a lot of people. To be honest, I wouldn’t send that second message at all. If they are interested, they’ll reply. It’s easy to think you’re the centre of their world when you get a reply. In reality, they’re probably trying to find time to chat to lots of friends/people they are interested in. That’s before you factor in work, mowing the lawn, taking the kids to football practice etc etc etc.

"No request for telephone numbers ever requested chat only ever on here and always give them a couple of days to ask if they are still interested .dont accept blocking is just another filter .if you have asked to chat and somone has take the time to reply if you changed your mind just say so." I find your approach v strange. We chat to loads of people. We never ask if we can chat, it's just a natural progression from a message. Sometimes the chat stops, we don't announce it will stop, it just does, then sometimes it starts again. It's more natural. If we meet from that we meet. It sounds like you see 'chat' as some sort of contract. It's not. We would block to.

There's no need for you to accept, it's a tool made available by the site that some prefer to use rather than be left open to rudeness. It allows people to be clear, if you're blocked there's no doubt & can be no further messages or confusion, we proactively block ahead of any interaction.
